Degree wise Admission Process
B.A. Streams: Women's College, Tinsukia offers 13 specializations in Bachelor of Arts. These include majors in Assamese, Bengali, Economics, Education, English, Mathematics, Philosophy, Political Science, Hindi, History, Sanskrit, Sociology, and Home Science. Merit is considered for admissions in the streams based on the marks obtained in the respective subjects in the 10+2 examinations.
B.Com Programs: Three specializations are offered in Bachelor of Commerce, i.e., Finance and Marketing. B.Com programs are offered on the basis of merit, considering the performance of the student in commerce subjects in 10+2 exams.
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): There is only one specialization for this course. Admission is done on merit and as per college admission rules and government regulations. Students who studied math or computer science as the subject at 10+2 can be privileged.
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): The college has one BBA course. Admission process is as per the general merit system of the college.
PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications): It is a post-graduate course offered in the college. Admission process most likely will be graduation marks-based and could have an additional selection process.
Many teachers are well-educated. They have cleared NET. They have completed their M.Phil. They are Ph.D. holders. English, economics, sociology, and political science departments have the best teachers. The course curriculum is suitable enough to prepare you to qualify for entrance examinations or even bank jobs. Semester exams are not much difficult. Previous years' question papers help a lot.
