What is Thermal Science and Engineering?

Candidates must have already passed the 10+2 standard from a recognized board/ institute. For reserved category candidates, this percentage is lower.
Thermal Science and Engineering Eligibility Criteria For Postgraduate courses:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, B.E./B.Tech in Automobile Engineering, B.E./B.Tech in Aeronautical engineering, or equivalent with a minimum mark of 55% on aggregate to be eligible to apply for M.Tech in Thermal Science and Engineering course. For reserved category students, this percentage criteria is lower. For different institutes, those criteria may differ.
Thermal Science and Engineering Entrance Exams
For Thermal Science and Engineering UG course:
There are some entrance exams in our country through which a candidate can get admission to the UG course of Thermal Science and Engineering. However, some institutes might take their entrance exam.
Those exams are as follows:
1. JEE Main: JEE Main is a national level entrance exam through which candidates can take admission in several UG courses in different subjects also in Thermal Science and Engineering in different institutes all over India. Most of the institutes(centralized, state-level institutes along with NITs) accept JEE Main score. A student who has qualified for the JEE Main exam will be eligible for the JEE Advanced exam.
2. JEE Advanced: JEE Advanced is a national level exam for admission in IITs. After qualifying for the JEE Main exam, candidates will get the opportunity to take the JEE Advanced exam.
3. BITSAT (Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test): BITSAT is an entrance test through which aspirants can take admission in different BITS colleges in different UG courses along with Thermal Science and Engineering.
For Thermal Science and Engineering PG course:
1. GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering): GATE is an all India based exam by which a candidate can take admission in different PG(M.Tech) courses in different subjects along with in Thermal Science and Engineering. Candidates who have qualified B.Tech/ B.E degree in selective streams or the final year of the course are eligible to take the test.

2. For a Postgraduate course (ME/M.Tech) in Thermal Science and Engineering, a student needs to study for two years(4 semesters) to complete the curse. This system is followed by all the institutes in India.
