The University being Central varsity has very good infrastructure and the facilities are also well very maintained. It has facilities such as Wi-Fi, smart boards, library, laboratory,Computer classroom, separate toilet for girls.
The University curriculum is very updated as per the current standard as it regulated by both MHRD and UGC. The faculties are so very experienced teacher and they teaches to the understanding of all students. Also seminars are conducted at regular intervals.
The placement cell is not strong and so final semester students are deprived of placement. From the placement scenario this college lacks it and the University administration should emphasize on it for the betterment of this University
Yes college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. They have all facilities like laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostels. They have wifi too. Yes they are well maintained.
I studied Masters in Business Administration as it's a very demanding course in the market Yes the curriculum is updated with recent developments in tye field. Yes it's make you job ready with good placements.
The quality of placements is very fantastic. 90 percent student gets placed. The highest salary package ranges from 5 to 10 lpa. The placement process is very easy and the college administration and placement section are very supportive.
Per year it costed Seventy Thousand eight hundred and five rupees only. Yes as per the curriculum and faculty, the money is worth every penny. Placements are very good with very good package. Available option of courses.
The best part of the college is that it is surrounded by forests and makes the environment very clean. No pollution and green campus. Everywhere dustbin. Good staff is there to clean campus daily. Fresh air.
No thanks.
The Dept of Statistics comes with a very well experienced teachers and the help to learn statistics according to market standards. The labs are very well maintained with updated statistical software. The infrastructure is pretty well and comes with clean and hygienic environment. Though the hostels are less compared to students so there is always a rush.
Initially it becomes difficult but once you get accustomed with the environment it becomes pretty easy. The teachers are way more helpful and make sure you understand every part of the course material. While not fully but to an extent the make us job ready.
The quality of placement is pretty low out here. We hardly get any campus placement here. Though a few department has a some placement but not upto the market standard. So overall the university needs to work on its placement cell so that maximum people gets placed.
The course fee is pretty decent and on an average it cost 20k to 30k for a post graduation degree inclusive everything. The fee charged is well justified as you get quality teachers there and a improving infrastructure.
Location wise the university is in its best place. The campus life is very good with hardly any discrimination or prejudice faced. Students get to participate various seminar, webinar and many programs. The students election and the social week is an eye catching event.
Overall the university itself is very good having regular classes. The teachers looks after the academic of students very seriously and exams are conducted timely in post graduation courses. The results gets out in time with minimum error.
Its a central university, the infrastructure is very good, all facilities are available and all the things are totally managed and in the position library and canteen is the placed where will study. Water supply are good.
All faculty member are well qualified and have good knowledge theoretically and practical. The quality of teaching is very good. Also curriculum is updated here and it has all recent developments in the fields.
Placement is not good. Not many companies come here to recruit. There were a few campus interviews here and there in the university and the university is trying to find bring the companies for the students.
Good
Campus life is also interesting
The experience was great with well talented professors.
Students are provided with all kinds of amenities and environment for quality education. Faculties are really helpful and encouraging in every aspect of careers choices and overall development of a student.
Library has all varieties of books and also important study materials and suggestions are provided by the teachers in the class itself. Students are given all sorts of facilities so that they donot have to struggle in their academics.
Almost all the students are placed in good companies with good salary. Every years most prestigious financial institutions, fmcg companies, consultancy firms, Telecom sectors and various other organisations offer job to students from the department.
Great
Outstanding
Totally worth it
The infrastructure varies from Department to Department. But it place itself in average zone as it cannot stand par with other central university having good NIRF LIKE AMU, BHU, TEZPUR, DELHI etc. Some department even lack DHT. The place is clean and hygienic but science laboratories should be more well equipped.
The university has good faculty but not all department laboratories are well equipped with modern practical instruments. The practical curriculum as a result fall behind due to this. However the university tries heavily to modernise the laboratories
Very few department have well to do placement cell. The placement hub of many departments doesn't place its students and the student need to search for their survival on its own Accord. So the department should focus on internship and placement atleast to start the career
The fee structure is quite affordable but being a central university it can't match with the fee structure of central Universities like BHU, DELHI UNIVERSITY etc.
Good natural beauties
The university should work on its International affiliation and more precisely on its Nirf rank and NAAC ACCREDITATION.
more need to develop. lack of infrastructure despite being a central university. More buses should be provided for easy transfer of students from city to university campus. ladies' hostel to be developed.
lack of quality faculties. Local and experienced resource persons should be invited to give practical insights to students perusing professional courses. more engineering depts should be established. medical course should be started.
lack of training and placements. except MBA and some BTECH and Pharma courses there is no such placement occur in Assam university. Administration must focus on placement to maximum number of students.
being a centrally funded university its a great advantage for students to pursue around 36 courses in a minimum fee as compared to its private counterpart. Hostel fee and fooding is also minimal and bus facility is also minimum
Since the university is remotely located far from Silchar therefore students need to catch bus or auto to travel such a long distance of 24 kilometers from main town hence there is lack of campus life for students residing in silchar.
The administration should focus strictly on the different parameters for bringing the Assam University amongst top 50 university in India it is an institute of great importance for people of Barak valley in Assam since it is the only central university located at this region.
Infrastructure is not good compared to other to other technical institutions. Proper laboratory infrastructure is lacking in this university. Also the computers in the laboratory needs to a high end one.
Academic curriculum is little bit outdated. The curriculum needs to be updated with latest trending courses instead of old fashioned syllabus. Administration should focus on bringing new curriculum to the institution.
Placements are really poor. Training and placement cell need to work really hard to get the companies coming to the campus. Proper mechanism should be established to bring tech companies to the campus for placements.
Food was a bit unhygienic and not up to the mark also also there was no any good canteen to eat.And quality of food was not good at hostels. classrooms were good but laboratory need to be improved a bit.
Quality of teaching was good. I have studied b.tech and it was a bit tough course and also some professor were coperative but some professor were putting pressure in us in some fields. But while studing there I have achieved some knowledge and also my communication skill was a bit good while studing there.
There were no placement in any field. There was not any cooperation from University administration about placement. From our batch no one was placed.it was 0% placement from our batch because there was no any company visited for placement.
Course fee was a bit average.but comparing to ather course b.tech course is very much expensive.
It was good.
It was a good experience studing there.Bit a bit of pressure in some field.
The infrastructure is good but not the best. Equipments are some old and some missing but important things are present. Internet facility is not that good, poor signal and not all time present. Hostels are not that hygienic.
Studying is average. Quality of teaching is also average, mostly guest faculties take classes and they have limited knowledge on particular topics. Asst. Prof take classes casually. Upgradation is required.
Placement is very poor. Rarely any company visits and placement cell is also not that active and faculties or university hardly give any effort for placement. Also very less students get qualified if any visits.
Per year course is approximately 1lac or less and this is not value for money because it is not job specific course. Even goverment doesn't have much job specific for this course. Vacancies come once in 2,3 years.
Campus is good with natural beauty. The department located far away from gate but bus service is good so we can reach on time. Some staffs are good. Location too is also good ans safe. Handling Emergency situations might be possible.

Hope this is helpful!
Yes,you can change your college/uni from one university to other in 2nd year but the chances are really low try to score really good marks in your 1st year and also make sure you get a seat before going for another university and then proceed for further process, you'll need migration certificate and probably a NOC from the former university.
