SMVDU Katra Placements

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University has a separate training and placement cell which assists the SMVDU campus placement process for the graduating students. As per the NIRF Report of 2024, the median salary offered in SMVDU B.Tech placements 2023 was Rs 5.50 Lakhs. The median salary offered in SMVDU MBA placements 2023 stood at Rs 4.41 Lakhs per annum.

As per the data published on the official website, several companies like Tata Elxsi, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Tech Mahindra and so on hired a large number of students in SMVDU placements 2023. Cognizant recruited as many as 69 students from SMVDU.

The SMVDU placement cell forms an interface by providing assistance to the recruiters for pre-placement discussions, conducting tests and interviews. The training and placement cell of SMVDU also conducts interactive sessions, workshops, seminars and several other such activities to prepare the students for SMVDU Katra placements.

Placements

The placements provided in our college are probably the best in Jammu. We can't compare it with other colleges, but our college is ranked 94 by MHRD, which definitely affects the placements of upcoming batches. One of the companies which usually visit the college is TCS, but you should prefer off-campus placements as well.

Placements are good in our college. Packages are good enough with the highest salary package of 7.5 LPA. The lowest salary package of 3.5 LPA. Top companies like Tcs, Infosys, Wipro, IBM, and Orange tend to recruit us. Almost 90% in TCS, Infosys got their internships. The top role offered is a software developer.

I am from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, and about 95% of students get placement in top companies through our courses. The highest package goes up to INR 25 lakhs per annum, while the minimum package goes up to INR 4 lakhs per annum. 95% of students get internships in top companies as well.

The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University generally cited as SMVD University or SMVDU, is a State Public University acknowledged by UGC and is founded in Katra, Jammu and Kashmir.

Admission into its Integrated BBA program is through CUET UG only.

Eligibility - aspirant who passed the 10+2 examination or equal to 50% total or more marks, from an acknowledged board is suitable.

CUET subject combination is

Language Test: English (101) + Accountancy, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Business Studies, Computer Science, Economics/ Business Economics, Entrepreneurship, Environmental Studies + General Test (501).

At this high rank it is very difficult to get both the colleges you have mentioned moreover any other college with a considerably good branch looks improbable but yes you should sit in the counselling and fill in the choices and wait if you can get any decent college or not but looking at past years rends it is tough to get any good college at this rank.
