Library and Information Science (LIS) is the academic and professional study of how information and information carriers are produced, disseminated, discovered, evaluated, selected, acquired, used, organised, maintained, and managed. The role of libraries in providing widespread and inclusive access to knowledge is widely acknowledged. Bachelor of Library and Information Science [BLIS] is a one year (full time) postgraduate course that teaches the candidates about library management and administration. The main objective of Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University’s program in BLIS course is to make students competent with basic information skills, both traditional and modern. And to educate them in the philosophy of librarianship, basic principles, fundamental laws, and professional ethics.
