FRI Dehradun Facilities
There are numerous facilities in the college campus. The college facilities include a medical clinic, library, boys hostel, girls hostel, auditorium, cafeteria, IT infrastructure, sports, gym, computer centre, etc. Forest Research Institute facilities can be availed by both the students and staff members. The college provides hostel facilities for both the boys and girls students. Students can also enjoy recreational facilities like television, indoor and outdoor games in the campus hostels. The hostel rooms are well-furnished and well-ventilated. FRI Dehradun facilities also include hostels for visiting project trainees and Ph.D. scholars. The college library has a huge collection of both physical and online resources. Forest Research Institute library is also installed with an online public access catalogue, which facilitates an easy search of the library books. FRI Dehradun medical clinic provides trained doctors and an ambulance facility.
- Boys Hostel
The boys’ hostels are named Sandalwood Hostel and Shisham Hostel. FRI Dehradun also provides visiting hostel facilities (rooms) for Ph.D. scholars and project trainees. The hostels are enabled with wi-fi and have both recreational and academic facilities.
- Girls Hostel
FRI Dehradun girls hostel facility is also available on campus. There are visiting hostels (flats) for Ph.D. scholars and project trainees. The M.Sc. girls hostel is known as New Rosewood Girls Hostel. The hostels are very spacious and have recreational facilities like indoor and outdoor games. Girls hostels are fully wi-fi-enabled.
- Medical/Hospital
FRI Dehradun medical facility is available for both the students and staff members free of cost. The medical clinic provides first-aid treatment and emergency medicines and has collaborations with other hospitals for other severe emergency cases. Qualified doctors and 24X7 on-service ambulances are also available.
- Library
The college library is popularly known as National Forest Library and Information Centre and has a vast collection of textbooks, reference books in the fields of management, engineering, technology and general areas. FRI Dehradun library facility also has journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines and e-resources. The library has a subscription of national and international e-journals and has an OPAC facility for easy online search of the books.
- Sports
The college sports department provides both indoor and outdoor games facilities. The college has separate football, cricket, hockey, handball, volleyball fields and badminton, lawn tennis court. University-level tournaments are also organised. The FRI Dehradun sports department observes an annual sports day every year.
- I.T Infrastructure
The college IT infrastructure provides good connectivity in the campus and the hostels.
- Gym
FRI Dehradun gym facility is available for both the boys and girl students. The college gym also provides a trainer to guide the students.
- Auditorium
The college auditorium is a large hall, used for conducting seminars, guest lectures and symposiums. The FRI Dehradun auditorium facility is equipped with LCD projectors, overhead projectors and slide projectors.
- Classrooms
The classrooms are equipped with the latest audio-video systems.
- Banks/ATMs
The college has an on-campus bank facility and 24X7 working ATM. A post office is also there in the college vicinity.

College Infrastructure
Facilities in our college are very good. The infrastructure is good. Lab facilities are good. The hostel facilities are superb. There is a separate hostel for boys and girls. The mess is clean and hygienic. Sports facilities and medical facilities are good. Many extracurricular activities are conducted here.

Master of Science in Computer Science is a full-time two-year course degree offered by Forest Research Institute, Dehradun and approved by ICFRE.

As per the previous years marks vs rank with 465 marks you can expect an all india rank in the range of 65000-75000.
The rank obtained for marks and cutoff marks for admission changes every year as they depend on factors like number of student applied, category etc.
As you you have not mentioned your category, as per the previous cutoff https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-up/amp it seems difficult for you to get a medical mbbs seat in up government medical colleges both through All india qouta and state qouta.
You can try for the private medical colleges or otyer medical courses like B.A.M.S, B.U.M.S etc.

Both msc forestry and msc wood technology provides you better career opportunities.
A lot of career opportunities is available in this field. The career opportunities are available in public as well as in private sector.
Those holding bachelor’s degree in forestry can apply for the Central government through the Indian Forest Service (IFS) examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
You can become forest officer, forestry technician, lecturer, forest professionals, forestry consultant etc.
The degree course of the Wood Sciences and Technology Program is designed to prepare students for the challenges of a wood products industry career.
After pursuing this course, you can become design engineer, market researcher, project manager, wood technologist etc.
You can choose either of these fields according to your interest.
