Accessibility to public transportation around campus is vital for students who commute. The college is well-served by local buses, making it convenient to travel off-campus. However, coordination between campus schedules and public transport could be improved to facilitate smoother commuting for students. Increased visibility of transport schedules on campus would also benefit students.
Peer collaboration and study groups can significantly enhance learning. Many classes encourage collaborative projects, which foster teamwork but can also lead to uneven work responsibility. While camaraderie is built through these projects, ensuring equitable contribution is essential for maintaining motivation.
The college alumni network was actively engaged in the placement process. Many alumni returned to campus to conduct interviews or provide guidance. Their involvement reassured current students and provided a sense of belonging to a larger community.
This college is value for money
The central library has a ready stock of books, journals, magazines, and newsletters from all over the world. The hostel provides air-conditioned rooms and separate mess for each hostel, 24x7 Wi-Fi facility for uninterrupted internet connectivity, last hours library facility, and common room of each hostel with LCD.
The teachers are very helpful. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and prepares you for the industry. The difficulty of semester exams is moderate, with a pass percentage of 98 percent in almost every subject. The teachers are highly qualified with good teaching experience
The college's placement statistics are impressive, with many students receiving multiple job offers. The career services team was always available to assist with job applications and interview preparations, making the transition from college to the workforce smooth
Wi-Fi-enabled campus. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and digital library has tie-up with IIT for resources. The hostel is quite good and the mess food is okayish. You won't necessarily like it, but it's edible and nutritious. The annual sports day is held.
The teachers are really helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They are consistent in their teaching. The syllabus is well explained in class and there is no need to look for YouTube sources as teachers provide sources to study from. They are always eager to help you.
Not much placement opportunity in the college. No top MNC is reaching college for placements these days. The role offered is SDE1, or intern. The package is between 3 and 7 LPA. Internships are not offered by colleges; students have to find them themselves.
Average college.
College infrastructure is good withe wifi accessibility all over the campus and AC installed in every classrooms and labs with a projector. Good hygiene and maintained cleanliness. Access to library and reading room for study.
Many permanent faculty members are there with a lot of experience. Also, many Adhoc faculty members are there. Also, faculty members are very helpful. All things are focused on academics only in this college. If you really want to study then you can come to this college. Teaching quality is very good. Academics are good.
Students around 65% were placed this year in different companies. Due to recession, the recruitment was quite low compared to last year. The highest package was 16.5 LPA according to campus placements, and an average of 3 LPA is given to students.
Yes college is value for money
Great!
Nothing else
The infrastructure are truly impressive and Well-maintained facilities. The campus ground are beautifully landscaped offering a pleasant atmosphere for studying and socializing. The small class room sizes allow for personalized attention and the diverse student body adds richness to the learning environment.
The teaching quality varies but generally leans towards excellence. Many faculty demonstrate deep expertise in their respective fields and are passionate about imparting knowledge to students. However, there are ocassional instance where teaching method could be more engaging and inclusive to accomodate diverse learning style.
One of the standout features of placement support is the dedicated career service department. Staffed with experience professionals, tjis department provides personalized guidance to students at every stage of their career development journey.
Campus life is great for the students who are belonging from upper Assam the interior infrastructure and development and the staffing play a vital role in it to outperform the campus life of a student.
Since it is a government college, one can't expect infra something like other B-day schools. Still it has maintained a decent infra with facilities like Wi-Fi for everyone, projector facility in every classroom, classrooms equipped with A. C, and library facility as well.
we have some of the best faculty members here with years of experience in teaching & research. If one has zeal to learn from them than he/she can make best use of it. Some of the courses in the curriculum required practical training and computer lab assistant
From my seniors batch, more than 95% of the batch strength has been placed in various reputed organizations some like Infosys, American Express, mahindra & mahindra, KPMG, paisa bazaar, and many more from various industries. In my batch, almost everyone got internship opportunities in various companies some of which I have mentioned above.
The college infrastructure is quite good, with well built and maintained buildings. The library and classrooms are spacious and well lighted. The college is divided into different departments, the administrative bulding and academic building. Cafeteria is also good.
The academic is also very good, but not teachers are friendly, but some are really good and very helpful, they teach well, make you understand the topics and clear all your doubts, there is a good practical exposure in labs.
Average package of 6 LPA is there, if your hardworking and good enough in your domain you can easily get placed. Teachers are to guide you through the placements, it is basically your luck and hardwork
infrastructure is good, with room for improvement. The campus architecture also good. The academic buildings are functional but lack modern amenities. The library facilities very good. The sports and recreational facilities are adequate but may lack certain amenities. On-campus accommodations offer a decent living experience, but they could be more comfortable. Overall good infrastructure
The university has a shortage of teachers, resulting in larger classes and limited student support. Additionally, some faculty members lack expertise in their respective fields, hindering the quality of education. These issues negatively impact learning and student progress. Recruiting more qualified teachers and providing professional development opportunities for current faculty are necessary steps to improve the university's standards.
Placement is okay. I mean university only brings some mass recuter company and rest (skills) things depend upon students. The university's placement record is influenced by the skills of the students, and the reliance on mass recruiters has led to mixed results for placement outcomes.
Because I'm 1st year student so can't say anything about it now
Yes university have beautiful campus. But some private universities in Punjab have better campus
I think it wil be very soon to say about overall experience in university . The reason of the lackness in the university may be No VC in the university and I hope all bad things will be better after appointment of VC.
College infrastructure is the most important part of college life,it improves our college life and give us more exposure. And this is the best in ptu it has best stadium and all the facilities for students both girls and boys, all the hostels are totally maintained with wifi and all the basic facilities.
Academics of this college is great in all over the Punjab all the students of our college gets good knowledge of the subjects and gets practical knowledge too. Our academic is really improving every year.
Placements of this college is not enough good because not all the students takes intrest in placement here, most of the students join this college for degree purposes only and some of them join this college and in second year shifts to foreign. Still the outside students gets good package, and the average package was 3-4lpa and highest was 17lpa.
No doubt this college has one of the best infrastructure even we can compare with iits, iiits or nits it has really lovely and stunning infrastructure including beautiful and fully arranged gardens and the best auditorium of capacity 800+ including best audio and video systems.
Academics is the backbone of any college but it has really average academics, I'm in 4th sem nd we all know we have a subject named Discrete mathematics,nd it is important even then we have a teacher with no expertise in DM.most of the teachers are not permanent they.
Placement is the thing which everyone wants to take even it is low or high. But here only few and general companies like tata and cognizent are the major recruiter of this college. And most of the startups came here to build their audience not to hire students. Still cse students takes off campus placement and the biggest placement was 17lpa this year.
