Hello

Do let us know if you have any other queries.
Good Luck!
Hello the marks may vary on several factors depending on the percentage of students applying for the exam Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2019. However, they will be considered for admissions to the degree programmes only if they obtain the cut-off marks specified for their board. Please see the cut-off criteria here. Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country. IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019 will be conducted in a fully computer-based test mode. CBSE cutoff is 92% .The listed out cutoff percentage is for the students who belong to general category, 5% relaxation is given to the students who belong to OBC, and generally, 50%-55% is the cut off for the students who belong to SC/ST or PWD category.
Hello Susmit Som,
With a score of 119(out of 180) in IISER Aptitude test(IAT), you do have good chances of getting a seat in IISER Kolkata. If not the first round, you can get a seat in IISER Kolakata in further rouds of allotment.
For further details regarding IISER Kolkata, visit: https://www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-science-education-and-research-kolkata
Hope it helps!
Best Wishes.
Hello Arikta,
IISER results are declared within 2 days of writing the exam. But no official marks and merit list has been declared till the last year. They only provide you whether you are selected or not selected.
The key for getting admission to the IISER will be solving maximum questions in the IISER Aptitude Test.
You can get cutoffs online but they are mere guesses. So if you think you have performed well in the exam you can just wait for the results to come out as depending on wrong expectations can be sorrowful if you don't get what you expect.
All the Best!
Although it cannot be said with confidence, but with a rank of 809 in SA stream, it's a bit difficult to get admission into the choice of your subject (seeing past trends).
Hello Neeraj,
If you are seriously interested in pursuing a career in any Science Stream then you can go for BS-MS.
The career will be mostly in R&D. If you can do it in IISER then you will have best opportunities for doing PhD and other researches.
Rather than getting job, it is more like exploring and finding a job for yourself.
All the best!
Facilities and infrastructure are quite good and satisfactory, like Wi-Fi, which is available 24 hours a day in all the labs, classrooms & libraries, as well as on the hostel premises. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is decent and very much eatable but it depends on the taste of the individual. Medical facilities are available on campus and ambulance services are there for any emergency.
