Hi

With 98 percentile

Your obc rank will be around 5000

With above rank, you have good chances in MNIT jaipur under home state

For example,

In 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 ,  7298 obc rank for gender neutral obc category under home state got chemical engineering in MNIT Jaipur

You also have also have chances in following branches under home state

  • Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)- 12171 obc rank

To check previous  year closing rank you can visit official website of josaa at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

This college prediction is based on past year cut off/closing rank but closing rank changes every year due factors like number of students that appeared in the examination, difficulty level of the JEE main question paper for different shifts etc so

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the marks/percentile/rank required in JEE mains to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , 3250 obc rank was the closing rank for gender neutral for obc category for other state in nit jaipur for Electronics and Communication Engineering (4 Years, Bachelor of Technology)

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

So,

You should target around 3000 obc rank i. e around 99 percentile in terms of marks around 180 marks

you can use rank predictor at

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor

To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to,  your home state, your gender etc, the link for  jee main college predictor is provided below

Now that,

limited time is left for jee mains 2021 remaining sessions i. e march, april and may session, so you should be focusing on your preparation,

  • practising chapterwise questions

  • then revising the chapters,

  • solve at least previous 10 year jee main question papers as concept behind the question often gets repeated in the examination so it will be of great help in your preparation  ,

  • go through mock test papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

Hi Aspirant,

Greetings of the day dear aspirant!

Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT) is one of the prestigious and best NITs in India. See, the competition is getting higher and higher. So, telling a particular percentile score is a bit difficult as the cutoff varies every year and the variation depends upon the number of applicants, Average and Highest scores and seat availability.

To fix your seat in MNNIT, you need to score at least 120- 175 marks to be eligible for MNNIT. Although you have not mentioned the category you belongs to but if you are from the general category then definitely you need to score super well as might be this year cutoff increase due to increment in student applications. Try to score above 96%ile for the safer side and rank under 10k.

Hope this helps.

Good luck:)

Incase youre planning a Research Internship or Project, I would suggest you to pursue MNNIT Allahabad over MNIT Jaipur. MNNIT has much better research facilities, faculty and self & Industry funded projects going on under its belt. The Academic and Research Outlook as well as the Citation Produced by Researchers at MNNIT are some of the Highest among NITs. However, again like its up to you and your vibes towards the Project. If a Professor/ Research Group working at MNIT is more inclined towards your research interests, you may definitely prefer MNIT over MNNIT, ultimately its you who are going to have the experience.

Yes, This is possible.

Generally, the NITs system provides some privileges to home state students. Like NIT Patna is located in state Bihar, so according to the home state reservation, 50% of the total seats of NIT Patna is reserved for students who have a domicile certificate of Bihar, that is the resident of Bihar.

But in some cases, this rule goes against its home state. Examples of such states are Rajasthan( MNIT Jaipur ) and Uttar Pradesh( MNIT Allahabad ).

Here I will give you an idea how it looks like. Last year such thing again happened in MNIT Jaipur, not in all branches but it happened in most of the branches. Below is the 2020 cutoff(male) rank of the Chemical engineering branch in MNIT Jaipur.

Category    Home State   Other State

OPEN             22984         24475

EWS                4468           4568

OBC NCL        7298           8563

SC                   4879           5836

ST                   2149           2580

(Source: Careers360)

As you can see cutoffs close at a higher rank for other state students and it is surprisingly benefitting them in comparison to home state students.

This happens because of the following reasons:-

  1. In some states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, etc.,  there so many students look for IITs and NIITs for their brand values and people are very aware of this exam  JEE main as compared to other states. Now most of the students want to study in their home state NIT which is located for their ease of traveling, no environmental change, staying near to their family, so many choose the home state NIT as their first preference and it ultimately rises competition among the home state students.
  2. In some states there are lots of good coaching centres are available then students from all over India come for JEE preparation in that state, eg.- Rajasthan(KOTA). Now as many students do their 11th and12th schooling from that same state so according to JOOSA which performs the selection process, such students are considered to be from the state from where they have completed their 11th and 12th schooling.

Hello aspirant,

The college administration will release the JEE Main cutoff for MNIT Jaipur on their official website soon after the declaration of JEE Main 2021 result. The cutoff will be the minimum marks set by the administration. MNIT Jaipur JEE Main cutoff will be released category-wise and will have opening and closing ranks. Candidates who will have a higher rank than the closing rank released by the authorities will be offered admissions. There are many factors that are considered for calculating the cutoff of JEE Main for MNIT Jaipur like, difficulty level of the JEE Main 2021 exam, total number of candidates appeared for the exam. The 2020 JEE Main cutoff for female candidates for MNIT Jaipur was 30177 for General category for Chemical Engineering department, 32579 for Civil Engineering, 6399 for Computer Science and Engineering.

Hope this helps,

All the Best!!

Malaviya National Institute of Technology(MNIT) Jaipur have a lecture complex known as VLTC where all classes are held. It have separate hostels for both boys and girls. It have well equipped labs and various research facilities. Various sports tournament and cultural programs are organized to enhance the capability of students.

Full of twists and turns

College Infrastructure

The college itself is not that old compared to other government colleges and the infra is alright but there is no architectural beauty in the buildings they are just bland. Although everything is well maintained, it does not have anything special about it

Great college good environment

Verified Review

College Infrastructure

The classrooms are well ventilated and have full AC, and the labs also well decent. The library's sports facilities are also good, but the hostel is quite decent. In the first year, you are given a three-seater room, but in the next, you are given a single room, and you need to adjust to the mess.
