72 MonthsDoctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) is an offered Full-time Doctoral program and it is offered by National Institute of Technology Calicut. Ph.D. program shall be for a minimum duration of three years, including course work and a maximum of six years. Extension beyond the above limits will be governed by the relevant clauses as stipulated in the Statute/Ordinance of the individual Institution concerned.
Candidates should possess minimum 60% marks (or CGPA 6.5/10) for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC and 55% marks (or CGPA 6.0/10) for SC/ST/PwD or equivalent both in Bachelors and Masters degrees in a relevant area from an Institution recognized by UGC/AICTE. Candidates shall be required to have passed both the Bachelors and Masters degrees in regular full time. In addition, the candidates should have a valid UGC/NET/CSIR/JRF fellowship in the relevant areas tenable from the current year.
Candidates who have master’s degree in engineering and technology with GATE score, OR applying for internal/external/part-time scheme of registration, OR have managerial experience for not less than five years in a reputed organization do not require UGC/NET/CSIR/JRF fellowship
