the institute is well managed in terms of infrastructure with necessary equipment and facilities. the classrooms, especially for the architecture department have projector facilities, drafting tables, storage facilities etc. the institute also provides hostels. There are separate hostels for the male and female students with mess provided near these. The cleanliness and hygiene is good in hostel areas for ladies. not sure about the boys hostels.
I am studying Architecture here cause of its blend with the tech field and the art field. The faculties are supportive despite how challenging this field is. the curriculum gets updated every 5 years. the campus life and academics makes you ready for the challenges the professional realm offers.
the placements for architecture is not very pleasing. there are rarely any placement opportunities and even then the students wouldn't prefer these. But the placements for B.tech is very good with high salary packages and opportunities.
for architecture, the course is overpriced. even so the student would be spending even more money throughout for the assignments and projects.
the campus life is fun with canteens, basketball courts, football fields, swimming pool etc. the sports and club activity here
Good infrastructure, each branch have there own building, hostels are bit far from campus students have to walk to much, sports facilities are provided. Teachers quaters are near the hostel. Overall good infrastructure.
Good academics, syllabus pattern is good, faculties are helpful, lots of assignments, lab are there in college. Good library facility. In library you can get all types of books. Overall good academics.
Placement cell is actively working in college. Good companies visit the campus. Lots of students get placed with good salaries. Companies like mahindra, L&T, oracle visit the campus, female quota is provided.
College gives good facilities. No extra money is taken.
Campus life is soo good. Here peoples from other states and countries comes to study, we get to meet lots of people and all are friendly in nature.
It has moderate infrastructure. Faculty is fine but coming to equipment not all are the working. Some of them are very old. So need to be change and class rooms and are fine but should be more air conditioned.
Academics are good enough. But the examination process is very bullshit as if u fail u will have only one re-exam chance and if u fail again then u have to attend the class with juniors and the current subject will be back
As, an architecture student we generally have less placements but here as the nit value still it is worse as compared to other private universities and Institutes. So better architecture life is expected in private institutions
I think fee is fine except general category
Not bad but full of fights and hectic academic schedule
Recommend to not join by seeing nit tag
No, my collage doesn't provide much facilities like wifi is very bad in both hostel and campus, the projector doesn't work properly, many time people in hostel have to suffer from water shortage and all.
When it comes to academic it is good as it's one of the best college when it comes to Architecture and Planning. We have field tours every semester and national and international competition also which helps a lot.
There are no placement for architecture students but have a better opportunity for b.tech students. But many companies come to the campus for the placements and all are renowned companies which is the only good thing.
No, I do not think it is worth of money.
It's fun during college festivals.
Poorly maintained buildings many colleges suffer from poor infrastructure a college with inadequate infrastructure can negatively affect not only academics but also emotional and physical well being of students
The academic programs are globally recognised and college provides opportunities for internships and collaborations with international institutions and companies . Students are provided with numerous opportunities
Poor placements in colleges severely impacts students career prospects and highlights their need for better preparation stronger industry ties weak placement can make it difficult for students to succeed
Affordable tution fees compared to other institutions relatablly reliant making it a valuable option for many students offers balanced experience that doesn’t completely surpass or fall short of expectations
The campus life is very interesting social environment for the student and their family members in this community of people that have a strong connection with their communities in their communities of origin
I’m going back home now I have a doctors note for my dad so I’ll call him later and see what I need for you and I’ll text him when I’m leaving the office love dad bye see if he wants me too love dad and dad bye see y do I have a charger in the truck and I’ll bring you the money and I can bring you a coffee if you need me too I’ll just take a nap I love dad and you have to go get the car so I’ll be home soon I don’t know what I’m going home I love dad to get my car I don’t want you have
It provides modern classrooms, advanced laboratories, a well-stocked library, and dedicated research centers. The campus of NIT Calicut consists of spacious hostels, sports facilities, cultural spaces, a medical center, and eco-friendly surroundings. Such features include a bank, a post office, which ensures that a wide range of amenities are offered and convenience is provided to everyone. The living spaces and food are hygienic
I am a architecture student at NIT Calicut. college is leading the way in academics because of its rigorous, industry-linked programs in engineering, architecture, and sciences. Highly qualified faculty and advanced laboratory facilities support the curriculum focusing on research, innovation, and practical skills. Workshops, internships, and projects further enhance their learning, preparing them for successful careers globally in academia, industry, and entrepreneurship. yes curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.
NIT Calicut has excellent placement records and attracts some of the top companies in different sectors such as IT, core engineering, finance, and consulting. The average package is competitive with many high paying offers. Regular training sessions, internships, and alumni guidance help the students prepare for placements so that the opportunities available for both undergraduate and postgraduate students are excellent. Around 80% of the students were placed from btech with an avg salary of 5 lakhs. Barch had no placement offers
The fee structure is based on total family income per year. The money is worth for the current academics and hostel Life
It really is a dynamic student life accompanied by rigorous academics, recreation, and cultural activities. The lush green campus invites a very healthy peaceful ambience; technical and cultural fests, sports, etc., occupy the students. One of the best faculties in the country is most related to the students. They are highly qualified and accessible. The support staff are also efficient. The campus is located very near Kozhikode, and while it is a pretty safe place, it has its downside in terms of weather-related challenges during monsoons. Overall, it is an inclusive and lively space for personal and professional growth.
National institute of technology Calicut infrastructure is good and teaching is also good. as iam a Architecture student we have proper drafting boards and presentation panels department are well cleaned.
Iam studying Bachelor of Architecture iam currently in 3rd year here the teaching quality is good we have more interaction with outside college people as we go to field trips and from which different places Architecture characteristics.
Here the placement issues are there there are very less chances of placing mostly civil based companies come .While in btech the placements is very good most of the students placed from this institute.
Not worth of money
This College is having very good and interesting infrastructure with lot of greenery inside and outside both . There you will get a good exposure, when you will communicate with other languages people. They provide hostel facilities with Wifi and sports activities are also there.
As currently I am 3rd year student of btech engineering physics. Professors are highly educated and educational system is very strict and disciplined in national institute of technology, Calicut. Our curriculum is updated and they teach everything which is needed in future and present.
If you belong to circuital branch then you will get a high package (more than 20 lakh , depend on your skills ) but with core branches you will get a good package only when you have skills and talent. And core branches student's also get package more than 15 lakh but they were so talented and skilled.
This College is more than average but cirrcullam of national institute of technology Calicut is very strict and strong. This College is good for taking admission. As I am a 3rd year student, till now college provide everything whichever is needed in your academics and your professors are so understanding.
College campus is so beautiful with greenery.
Nit calicut has a great infrastructure and good facilities provided for the students and there some drawback with institute wifi system And also the spaces will be cleaned by everyday basis. Overall college has great infrastructure to make students survive in the outer world.
The academics for my course is getting better and better by change in the batches and getting updated to match the current trend of the world. The software learnings of the coarse is getting updated for a good reason.
Coming to the placements the quantity of people getting placed for the architecture is comparatively less. I wish there would be more chances to the students to showcase their talents to the outer world to be a change for the society.
Overall it's a good college to learn and explore ourselves.
National Institute of Technology, calicut is a well structured infrastructure.Talking about the campus it is very clean space with lush greenery and provides an inviting environment for everyone. Lab, Library are well equipped with neccessary equipments, in library they provide 24 hr wifi connection, everyday 4-5 language newspapers, journal, online journal, digital library, academic, fiction, non fiction, online journal, e-books everything. students who don't have laptop can use CCC computer and digital library laptops. NITC promotes physical fitness through sports facilities including fields, basketball court, table tens. bad, mintion courts, gymnasium as wwell as swimming pool.
As an architecture Student at NITC, my academic life is both challenging and rewarding. The curriculum is rigorous, demanding a strong commitment to both theoretical and practical application. The faculty is experience and supportive often encourage us to explore innovative design ideas . continuous evaluation throughout the semester keeps everyone engaged and motivated.
As a architecture student i'll give average review to NITC because for architecture student placement scenario is very bad. the numbers may not match those of engineering tech students. Although for engineering students placement achieved higher placement rates.
The value for money scenario at NITC is overall positive, it give quality education and placement. there are also various scholarship and fee concession process to financially helped to students.
Campus life at NITC is vibrant and outstanding offering students a well rounded experience that balances academics, extracurricular activities with personal growth. it have numerous clubs to allow students to explore more with their interests beyond academics.
The Production Engineering branch is a great option to consider at NIT Jalandhar, NIT Calicut, and NIT Kurukshetra.
At NIT Calicut, the Production Engineering program is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics, science, and engineering fundamentals. The program focuses on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing systems, quality control, and supply chain management. With a sanctioned intake of 59 students, the program offers a great student-faculty ratio, allowing for personalized attention and mentorship.
Similarly, at NIT Jalandhar, the Industrial and Production Engineering program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to succeed in the industry. The program covers a wide range of topics, including manufacturing processes, production planning, and control systems.
NIT Kurukshetra also offers a strong Production Engineering program, with a focus on developing students' skills in areas like manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, and quality control
Considering these options over a tier 2 college is a great idea. NITs are reputable institutions that offer high-quality education, excellent faculty, and great placement opportunities. While tier 2 colleges may also offer good programs, the NITs have a distinct advantage when it comes to reputation, faculty quality, and placement records. So, if you have the opportunity to join any of these NITs, it's definitely worth considering.

The cutoff for NIT Calicut varies each year and is influenced by the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the JEE Mains exam, and the available seats. You can check previous years' closing ranks for the SC category to gauge your chances.
Your chances can also depend on the specific branch you are interested in. Some branches might have higher cutoffs than others.
