Patna University will release the 2025 seat allotment letters to candidates based on their performance in academic scores and preferred choices. Following the allotment, candidates can meet with department heads and deans on campus. To do so, they must register online and schedule an appointment. 

Once admitted, candidates have the option to exercise "sliding," allowing them to change their preferred subject or college. If they cannot upgrade their assigned choice, their initial selection remains unchanged. Candidates who are newly assigned through the sliding process are not required to attend counselling. Instead, they should bring their provisional admission letter and counselling allotment letter to the designated college on the day of the induction programme
