Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology (DUIET), is a constituent college of Dibrugarh University in Assam. The institute provides various engineering courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Application Process

Application procedures for DUIET are different for different programs and also for the entrance exam that the candidate opts for:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Qualify either JEE Main or Assam CEE examination.

2. Go to the official DUIET or Dibrugarh University website to download the application form.

3. Complete the application form, giving correct information including the entrance examination marks.

4. Candidates applying on CEE and JEE categories can avail one application but have to give genuine marks for both exams in the respective columns.

5. Send the filled-in application form along with documents and application fees, if any.

6. Wait for the merit list or counseling schedule to be announced.

7. In case shortlisted, go through the process of counseling for seat allocation.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: DUIET provides five B.Tech courses with a total intake of 260 seats. Admission is on the basis of either JEE Main or Assam CEE marks. 

Seat allocation is as follows:

• Computer Science and Engineering: 60
• Electronics and Communication Engineering: 60
• Mechanical Engineering: 60
• Petroleum Engineering: 50
• Civil Engineering: 30

The candidates should have 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The admission process consists of qualifying either the JEE Main or Assam CEE and then the counseling process.

M.Tech: There are four M.Tech courses provided by DUIET:

• Thermal and Fluid Engineering
• Petroleum Engineering
• Information Technology and Sensor System
• Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

 Documents required usually are:

• 10th and 12th mark sheets and certificates
• JEE Main/Assam CEE score card
• Category certificates (if applicable)
• Domicile certificate (if necessary)
• Recent passport-size photographs
• Any other document as indicated by the institute
