Gate Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nalgonda Admission Process

Gate Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nalgonda (GIPS) Kattakommagudam, Chilukur, Kodad Suryapeta, Telangana, India GIPS is one of the reputed pharmaceutical education institutes in the country. The institute is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

GIPS has adopted a stringent admission procedure to select deserving students who will be capable of pursuing pharmacy studies. The institute offers several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacy. The total number of seats for B. Pharma is 100 and for different M. Pharma specializations is 15 each. The admission cycle is generally in accordance with the academic calendar. Applications are usually invited during the months preceding the commencement of the academic session.

Application Process

Degree wise Admission Process

B. Pharma: There are 100 seats in B. Pharma course at GIPS. The admission to this four year undergraduate course shall be on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination (10+2) and/or any entrance test as may be prescribed by the state/national regulatory bodies for pharmacy education.

M.Pharma: GIPS offers several M.Pharma specializations, each with 15 seats:

  • M.Pharma Industrial Pharmacy
  • M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance
  • M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Chemistry
  • M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Management and Regulatory Affairs
  • M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Technology
  • M.Pharma Pharmaceutics
  • Admission to these two year postgraduate courses usually requires a B. Pharma degree from a recognized university and may also consider scores from national level entrance exams such as GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test).

D. Pharma: GIPS also has 60 seats for Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharma) which is a two year diploma course for those students who have completed their 10+2 with science subjects.
