If you wants to know about Heritage Institute of technology then they provides placement for every aspirants with minimum salary package of 4.1 lpa with highest 16.5 Lpa .But if you are from Civil branch then placement is quiet low but there are lots of top recruiter are visit like TCS, wipro ,Infosys ,Philips ,Godrej with more then 70 companies are visited every year .

In terms of exposure, facilities and environment, Heritage is a little more than Techno Salt. But as far as the course is concerned CSE is better than ECE.

This year companies like Microsoft , Intel , Amazon and some other big brands recruited CSE graduates from Techno Salt Lake for a max package of 8 lakh with TCS being the mass recruiter. The maximum pay for ECE from Heritage was somewhere around 6 lakhs.

In the end, its just your call as to which course you wish to do. Weigh your options and then make the final judgement.

You should mention you Catagory ( I.e, whether you are GENERAL , OBC or SC or ST ) .

But with this rank , you chances are very thin .

But you can wait till the last round of Counseling,  if there remains any seat vacant you can get a seat at Heritage .

But the chances are really low .

Both the institutes are good, talking about Haldia Institute of Technology infrastructure is great with wifi facility and classrooms and labs are also well equipped. Gym facility is also available. The placement wing is fine with highest package going upto 6-7LPA and average being 3 LPA. Faculties are helpful and experienced.

Heritage Institute of Technology, infrastructure is great with spacious classrooms and well equipped labs, facilities are  well provided. Placement wing is also good with highest going upto 15 LPA and lowest being 3.5 LPA.

Overall both institutes are good but Heritage has good placement wing

No , other state students are not availed with TFW as it is domicile limited. They ask for documents like income certificate, domicile certificate which are Mandatory.
WBJEE TFW scheme is given by the government of WB and they have these eligibility criteria where domicile criteria is must.
There is 5% reservation for TFW. So any candidate who take an admission under open category or other state category can't get TFW quota.

Actually in the basis of your WBJEE rank IEM os better than HIT and it comes after JU and shibpur BE college.  But when it comes to placement then both of it have a same set of mass.

But if you want to a better happening college life then I would say you must go for heritage as it has a speawling campus and good infrastructure which IEM don't have being in the middle of a corporate city.
