Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Gulbarga Admission Process

Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Gulbarga, is offering quality homeopathic education and health care. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in homeopathy. Admission through entrance examination conducted at the national level selects the most deserving candidates.

The college accepts National Eligibility cum Entrance Test scores for undergraduate admissions. NEET is a mandatory examination for all aspiring medical students in India. The selection of candidates for the BHMS program is based on their performance in NEET and the subsequent counseling process.

The admissions for the postgraduate course in Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Gulbarga are through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post Graduate (NEET PG). There are various MD Homeopathy courses offered by the college. Students are selected based on their NEET PG score through this merit-based selection.

The beginning of an academic year usually starts from the month of August-September. The admission process is usually a few months ahead of that.

Application Process

For BHMS:

  1. Attend the NEET PG examination.
  2. Qualify NEET PG by scoring mark above the cut-off.
  3. Register for AIQ counseling or state counseling process.
  4. Fill in preferences for a college or specialization in the counseling process.
  5. If a seat is alloted, report to the college with verification of documents for admission.

Admission criteria for all generally include the following documents:

  • Score card of NEET/NEET PG
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • BHMS degree certificate and mark sheets, in case of PG admissions
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (where applicable)
  • Caste certificate (where applicable)
  • Domicile certificate
  • Passport-size photographs taken recently
  • Aadhaar card

Such other documents that are specified by the college or counseling authority

The process of selection is mainly based on the performance of the candidate in NEET/NEET PG and the rank obtained by them in the counseling process. The candidates are asked to follow all the instructions during the counseling process and ensure all the documents are in order to avoid any complications at the last moment.

Degree-wise Admission Process

BHMS: BHMS is the flagship undergraduate program offered by the college. It has an approved intake of 100 students. Admission to this program is based upon the candidate's score in the NEET followed by the counseling process. Candidates have to pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as major subjects only.

MD Hom Materia Medica: It is a postgraduate course that has an approved intake of 6 seats. Admission is on the basis of NEET PG scores. BHMS degree holders from a recognized institution are eligible to apply.

MD Hom Organon of Medicine: This is another postgraduate course with an intake of 6 seats. Admission is through NEET PG scores. Candidates with a BHMS degree from a recognized institution are eligible.

MD Hom Repertory: This PG course has an entry of 6 students. Admission is through NEET PG and it must have the BHMS.

MD Hom Practice of Medicine: A specialized PG course with 3 seats. Admission for the same is based on NEET PG, and the basic eligibility for this candidate is the BHMS.

MD Hom Pediatrics: This postgraduate program focuses on homeopathic pediatrics and has 3 seats. Admission is based on NEET PG performance, and candidates must have a BHMS degree.
