Jangipur Government Polytechnic is a technical institute of West Bengal University of Technology. It is located at Raghunathganj, West Bengal. The institute was established in 2015. The institute is owned by the government and is an AICTE-approved polytechnic. There is a faculty strength of 16 members. As with dedicated professionals, the institute provides quality education in the field of engineering.

In the curricular activities, Jangipur Government Polytechnic offers diverse facilities to uplift the learning/teaching process among its students. In fact, at the heart of academic resources is a richly stocked library with proper provision of technical literature and other reference materials for the students. There is immense pride within the institute about its departmental laboratories that are provided with modern apparatus to facilitate practical learning and experimentation. An auditorium is available for extra-curricular activities and events, seminars, cultural programs, and technical symposiums. Sports facilities are available within the campus that urge the students to maintain a fine balance between academics and sports. There is an organised cafeteria on campus, catering to the culinary needs of students and the staff of the organisation that help in building the sense of community. The health centre at the institute, where first aid as well as a few basic medical facilities are available, proves the care about student welfare. With excellent IT infrastructure in place, the polytechnic ensures that all the students are properly equipped with the latest technological advancement in their respective fields.

The number of full-time diploma courses at Jangipur Government Polytechnic is three, which carry a duration for all of three years. Among the above courses, each offers quite adequate opportunity to the students to build up a very sound foundation in the respective streams. The institute holds an intake capacity of 180 students in total.

This entrance examination is the general entry examination conducted by the examining body for the candidate seeking admission in the diploma course in that institution.
