BA Sanskrit Hons at Lady Brabourne College, Kolkata Offline Course

Bachelor of Arts (BA) Honours in Sanskrit is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the University of Calcutta, Kolkata.

The students of the dept. traditionally play a great role in the extracurricular activities of the college. The cultural function of the reunion day and celebration of the foundation day of the college usually being with the Mangalacharana, which is performed by the students of the Sanskrit dept. The students also have staged Sanskrit Dramas like- Kumarasambhava, Mrcchakatika, Meghaduta etc.

The Dept. is proud to mention is that the Muslim girls are gradually showing interest to take up Sanskrit as their Hons. subject. The faculty members are happy to get the opportunity of imparting the lesson of Sanskrit to them as it is a good message for society which may now contemplate of emergency of an open-minded new generation free from any mental block and ready to exemplify the age-old pithy 'manusat parataram na hi' means there is nothing greater than humanity.
