Hi Samir Debbarma !

Yeah, There is a percentage criteria for taking admission in NIT College . For a General category guy , atleast 75% is mandatory and for SC/St it is 65%. But Overall percentage is taken into consideration and not only the percentage in PCM .

Hello aspirant

As per your percentile which is 92 I.e., very good score.u can apply for IIT than NIT  because for the general category the cutoff mark is 75% and u need to have minimum aggregate score i.e., 65% in ur +2 .

It's better u option for IITs than NIT.

Hope this information is relevant to your question.

If you have any enquiries please feel free to ask.

Thank you:)

Hello ,

I am sorry to say that ,as you have scored very low percentile in JEE mains you have very little chances of getting NITs ,On my opinion you can appear in JEE mains april attempt and try to improve your percentile to above 90 to get any NITs or eligible for appearing JEE advance 2019.

Best of luck.

Hii lakshmi

Firstly I'm telling you admission for nit are based on the rank not on the percentile while on Ruthr sketch you should get more than 95 percentile ,simce you are not eligible for nit but you have still chance for going to colleges giving admission based on jee score

Regards

Hello rishi

Well, it's very difficult as of now,to predict the cutoff for colleges of JEE mains and for jee advance based on percentile. You can first calculate your rank by rank=(100-percentile)*874469/100.With this rank, you can compare previous year's cutoff for different colleges and can predict some of the colleges you may be getting and also the advance cut off.But remember this is not the final rank.It will change based on the april session of mains. To further predict colleges visit https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor  .Hope this helps.

Good Luck

Yes if you have a PWD certificate you can definetly get secured a good seat as your score is also very good so you can definetly get a CSC branch in NIT , computer science branch is also a very good branch in engineering and you can also hope a good scope in future too in that branch as the world is totally converting into digitalization so all the best for your future and hope you will defiantly have a bright future

Hi Mouli,

As per your percentile, your probable general category rank is 37,800. However, this rank is subject to change as and when the NTA announces the final result after the April session of Paper 2. But as far as I know, you may not be eligible to get a seat in NIT because the closing ranks across all NITs ranges between 1000 - 2000. However, for you reference, please read through our article on JEE Paper 2 which gives a detailed information on the different NITs and other top colleges along with their cutoffs.

I hope this helps you and I wish you all the best. Please let me know if you need anymore help.

Hello Pranav

According to your percentile score, your expected rank will be around 9159. It should be noted that this is the probable rank and it may vary depending on the number of candidates who will appear in the JEE Main paper 2 exam in April.

You can go through the link below and refer the previous year cutoff for reference

Good Luck!
