UPES B.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked #42 among Engineering colleges in India by NIRF | Highest CTC 50 LPA , 100% Placements
Hello Lakshmi,
Since it is too late to answer your query, I hope you scored well in JEE Advanced. As a General category, The chances are less to get a seat in NIT as a General category. JOSSA Round 4 seat allotment result also has been released, I hope, You might have checked it.
Good Luck!
Hello aspirant!
I am sorry to tell you but you will not be eligible for JEE Advance but you will be eligible for JEE Mains. You get three attempts for JEE Mains and two attempts for JEE Advance. In case you fail in an attempt of JEE Mains, it will also be counted as a failed attempt of JEE Advance. I hope this information was helpful!
I wish you all the very best!
Haldia Institute of Technology is the best among the three colleges you've mentioned. It's a government aided college and has decent placements for non core branches of Engineering. Though the placements for core branches are not very good but if you are getting an opportunity to study there you must avail it because their academics is very good.
Otherwise the other two colleges are also not bad as far as placements for non core branches are considered.
But if you consider reputation then go for HIT.
All the very best
Hello aspirant,
Congratulations for the results. Hope you are doing well. To get admission in NIT one needs to score atleast 75% in 12 th boards and also the score is seen of physics, chemistry and mathematics and not for other subjects so your 86% will not be valid as you have to go with either all the subject or physics, chemistry and mathematics and English and one more optional subject.
Hope this helps
If any queries feel free to ask
All the best!!
Regards
Hi Yaswanth,
For admissions in B.Arch in NIT universities, JEE Main Paper 2 score is needed. This admission doesnot take place through NATA scores. With the JEE paper 2 score you can proceed with JOSAA councelling, and that's how you get Architecture in NIT institutes.
All The Best.
Hi Sayan Roy,
The eligibility criteria for top 20 percentile and 75 percentage was to attain one of them. You should get at least one of them to clear the board exam eligibility. So eventually both are acceptable and either of them is acceptable by the counselling process. All the best!!!
Hello,
Your rank of 10k EWS rank is a bit below par and thus definitely hurt your chances for getting a seat through JoSAA counseling. Your Home State NIT is the best chance you have got with these ranks. For example, a student of Punjab can get EIE for 12k EWS rank also in NIT Jalandhar. Though, I am guessing by your name that your state of eligibility is some southern state. In that case, your chances are very less due to the quality of NITs in the south and also the demand among students. Yet you might get some north-eastern NITs through the special round but waiting for it is a risk and I would strongly recommend against it. All the best
Thank You
Hi Vishal,
If you have scored 75% or above in your 12th and have good marks in JEE main then yes you are eligible for NIT/IIT.
Hope this helps
Hy there aspirant,
Qualifying in jee mains is also good thing if you are not eligible for any of IIT's and NIT's don't lose hope there are many colleges who will give you admission in the basis of marks or rank you scored in jee . Here is a link for you to get better understanding. https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-engineering-colleges-in-maharashtra-accepting-jee-main. wishing you luck.
Firstly, I appreciate your confidence level and want to tell my 3rd attempt story.
At the time of appearing (2014),I am not ready for JEE because my preparation was only board level. Means I left the 1st attempt exam. After that, I joined a target batch in Patna and end with 106 marks (AIR Rank 53000). After that, I admitted a worst private college through JEE Rank (Sorry, I can't tell you college name). So again Onwards January 2016, I started the preparation for JEE Main along with college attending and I got 140 marks (AIR Rank 31000).
Now I am in IIEST Shibpur. It is better college than that of above mention private college in terms of education, infrastructure, research, placement and many more things.
Here The main point is, if you are confident then you should go for 3rd attempt with more energy. Definitely you will get a good NIT or any other college.
So Don't waste the life in worst college, waste a year for good life and atleast you should know that “Degree of a good college is better than that of worst college, no matter when you complete it”.
Best of luck for your upcoming future!!!
