NIFT Shillong Course Admission 2024 - Fees, Date, Cutoff & Eligibility

NIFT Shillong offers admission to undergraduate and postgraduate courses through the NIFT entrance exam. The exam is conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Delhi for all its 18 campuses. NIFT applications start typically in the month of November-December, and the entrance exam is held in February. Eligible candidates desirous of getting admission to NIFT Shillong must meet the eligibility criteria for the institute and appear for the exam.

NIFT Shillong offers four undergraduate courses. The course duration for undergraduate courses is four years. 

NIFT Shillong B.Des Eligibility Criteria

NIFT Shillong B.Des Admission Process

• Candidates have to appear for NIFT entrance exam for B.Des

• The entrance exam has three stages -  Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test (ST)

• Candidates clearing CAT and GAT will be eligible for the Situation test

• Obtain a NIFT score that meets the NIFT Shillong cut-offs

• Candidates who meet the cut-offs will have to register for NIFT counselling 

• Seats at NIFT Shillong will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the exam and preference for the institute

• Once the seats are allocated, pay the course fee and complete the admission formalities

NIFT Shillong MFM Admission 2024

NIFT Shillong started the Master of Fashion Management course in 2013. Admission to this course is offered through the NIFT PG entrance examination.

• Candidates have to appear for the NIFT entrance exam for MFM

• The entrance exam consists of General Ability Test (GAT) only

• Candidates have to obtain qualifying marks in GAT and appear for the group discussion interview round

• Qualifying candidates can register for NIFT Shillong counselling

• Upon successful allotment, they can complete the admission process by submitting the fees
