PR Thakur Government College, Gaighata Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college library, despite being only four years old, contains a substantial collection of relevant reading matter, textbooks, and reference books pertaining to the various courses offered by the college, as well as many non-academic books. Computer facilities are also available in the library, providing students with information about the books in stock and access to e-books and e-journals. Since we have multi-user library software under client-server connected by LAN to various departments, On-line Public Access Control (OPAC) is available to all departments.

The college has a sports facility for Teachers, staff, boys, and girls of our college to participate in the college Annual Sports. The large playgrounds enable the college to hold annual sports meet, at which there is remarkable student participation. Some internal sports events are arranged annually, and students are encouraged to participate in some external competitions and tournaments.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for all the students.

The college Canteen has a large area that is a destination within the campus for refreshments of the students. It serves delicious food items at reasonable prices.

The college has a cycle stand and car parking zone within the college campus.
