Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Chamba (RGGP Chamba) is a government institution imparting diploma programs in technical education. The institute is AICTE approved and is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in engineering and technology education. To get admitted into this course, a candidate has to fulfill the basic eligible criterion of completing the 10th standard with Mathematics and Science subjects. Approved intake is 40 for this program. Selection on merit would likely be considered, either on the basis of the qualifying examination or through performance in the relevant entrance tests.

Diploma in Electrical Engineering: It is a three-year diploma program offered by RGGP Chamba to provide students exposure to different faces of electrical engineering. The eligibility criteria are pertinent to those for Civil Engineering concerning Mathematics and Science, at the 10th-grade level. Approved intake is 40 for the same. Selection might consider the performance of the candidate either in the qualifying examination or through some relevant entrance examination.
