Ramchandra Chandravansi Institute of Technology (RCIT) has been operating in Bishrampur as a constituent college of AICTE, while offering several B.Tech programs to students. The institute's admission process is smooth sailing in selecting deserving candidates for its engineering courses. As far as the RCIT admission procedure is concerned, it is candidly governed by JAJI national-level and state-level examination performance. Qualifying for the B.Tech programs consumes the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main or the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) test by each candidate. Any special admissions provision would be made by RCIT if a Common Entrance Test were undertaken.
An institution usually commences its admission cycle quite in tune with the JEE Main schedule starting in January of each academic year. Henceforth, all interested candidates should, every year, go through the official RCIT website and the JEE Main portal for exact dates and deadlines with regard to admission processes. Eligibility includes having passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics being the compulsory subjects, besides qualifying the necessary entrance tests and the minimum percentage criteria set by the institute.
Application Process
The application procedure to get admission into RCIT B. Tech programs is as follows:
1. Qualifying Entrance Exam: Candidates must clear either the JEE Main or JCECEB entrance exam.
2. Submitting application form: After the announcement of entrance exam results, eligible candidates will apply to RCIT. This process may be online in accordance with the institute's official website's procedure or in accordance with the guidelines provided by JCECEB for state-level admissions.
3. Document verification: After the shortlisted students have been drawn up, they will be expected to submit essential documents for verification. These usually include:
4. Counselling Process: Qualified candidates may attend a counselling session in which they may choose their desired branch based on their rank and availability of seats.
5. Fee Payment: On allotment of seats, candidates require payment of the prescribed fees to confirm their admissions.
6. Final Admission: Candidates will be finally admitted to their allocated B.Tech program after fulfilling all the preceding requirements.
Degreewise Admission Process
B.Tech: Each program has a limit of 45 students, taking the total to 225 students for 5 B.Tech programs of RCIT when considered as such. These programs include Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Computer Science and Engineering. Admission to these programs is given on the basis of the candidate's performance in either JCECEB or JEE Main. The admission procedure requires candidates to have qualified JCECEB/AIEEE (4 years) or the Common Entrance test conducted by RCIT.
Duration of each B.Tech course in RCIT is 4 years spanning a total fee structure of Rs. 220400/- for the entire course. The institution manages proper specialization distribution so that it could give a wholesome technical education in diverse engineering fields.
