Yes obviously it has everything whatever a good collage required. All these things are periodically maintained and replace if faulty. What I found that laboratory are much better than few of IITs even .
I m currently pursuing BTech in ECE because I m bit fascinated towards communication. I want to know how the communication works. Yes it's all in exactly same direction with taking care of industry trends if there are.
Almost 99% for CSE background and 90+ for all other. Average salary crossed to 8lakhs /annum. Highest package offered by Microsoft that is 41.6 lakhs/annum . Placement process is arranged by separate cell.
It's almost 4 lakhs /annum for ECE. I don't feel my money is wasted because of quality of education.
Students are bit busy compared to other collages. If you are disciplined then you have lots of free time. Kelambakkam - Vandalur Rd, Rajan Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600127 . Its location is safe .
I would suggest everyone if you feel to have quality education plz have your addmission in vit chennai. Take study loan if you required .
College infrastructure is good, you might found it medium sized college in area. taking about infrastructure college have 10-17th floor hostel buildings, 7-8th floor 3 academic blocks with more than 200 classes with full sized labs. college also have chilling places like dominos, gymkhana (it's a restaurant) , lassi house and gazeebo. currently college is preparing to build 1 more academic and hostel block.
Academics is totally going to depend on individual. you might have little bit of problem in accent understanding if you are from northern India but trust me you will get used to it within max. 2 weeks. Labs are pretty good with A/c and proper equipments and if you want to use lab's stuff in free time you can use it.
Again this what going to depend upon individual. talking upon opportunities, college will be visited by top companies like Amazon, Deloitte , JPMC, TCS etc. you can check more details on that on college's website.
hostel fee will vary from how many beds you want to a/c or non-ac with type of mess (veg -non veg you want). talking about course fee it is fully depend upon your VITEEE rank (acc to which you will be given fee categories).
there are some strict rules like in campus time, but its not that disturbing honestly. You will enjoy your time here, you will make friends with whom you will go to beaches, and on long drive during short breaks.
Amazing infrastructure. The classes are huge and so are the buildings, labs, playgrounds and hanging out area. The hostel rooms are also spacious and quite ventilated. There is enough space for fests, events and any kind of activities.
I am studying computer science as it has numerous opportunities but the quality of teaching is just satisfactory. The teachers do take enough effort to create assignments and quizzes. But the quality can be improved more.
There are numerous placement opportunities and the college takes extra pride and care in ensuring that each and every person is placed. The stream of computer science has ample opportunities but other streams have also crossed there mark in terms off placements.
The college is quite costly but i believe they do provide the quality for money in terms of safety, comfort, education, college experience and placements. The college will provide enough experience to develop the base of your college life.
There are certain restriction based on the timings of entries and other freedom parameters but the campus life is pretty equisite. It is fun and learning experiences all together. You will evolve as a person during the tenure.
Yes our college has all the necessary Infrastructure, facilities, labs and equipments, to give a well rounded education. Classrooms are very well maintained with projectors and wifi. Mess food is not so extravagant but hygiene wise good.
Currently I am pursuing Bachelor of Technology in Computer science here. The curriculum in this college is well updated. Most professors have Phd degree in the subject they teach here. The curriculum helps us gain well rounded education here.
Placements here at Vellore institute of technology Chennai is great ??. School of Computer Science generally gives 100 percent placement. And many students get very nice packages in there campus placements.
Fees is Nominal for most. There exists a huge variety of Hostel rooms and this helps the people who can't pay extravagantly on stay also to pay easily for the hostel. The mess also has a variety of categories which gives extra provision for bringing down the total cost one has to pay.
Campus life is good enough, there are many Eateries and places ti hangout. Though the college is very strict about it's in campus rules. We also have very strict in time for the Hostel as well as the campus itself. 6:00pm is campus in time
VIT Chennai is well known for its green campus, The path of going green has a positive impact. All the buildings are so big and all the classrooms are well equipped with projectors, cameras, conference halls. The best thing is the library, you will be astonished by seeing the library.
As the name says VIT, India's no 1 private Engineering college. As i am currently pursuing my computer science B.tech, i have gained very good knowledge in every field and the courses they offer will definitely help you in the future. The teachers are also well qualified.
placement in vit is really amazing, almost every student get placed here. the have 3 categories', the first one is super dream companies that offer around 10 lakhs and above, second dream companies that offer around 6-8 lakhs and the rest id it sector companies/mass recruiters that offer 4 lakhs. so you can easily get placed in any of them.
There is exam called VITEEE conducted by VIT. so according to your merit/ rank you will fall under different cetegories. The average is around 1.5 lakhs. For me i have paid around 1.2lkhs
I can say that campus life at VIT is not good. There are strict timing for everything. you cannot go outside the campus after 6 which is a major drawback. being in the campus , it feels good to roam inside the campus.
I can say with respect to academics its the best but for campus life enjoyment, it lacks. If you have made good friends out here , you can enjoy life.
VIT does have a wonderful infrastructure. Every necessary piece of equipment and facilities are there which every student can access without any restrictions. And all are maintained very well and used at the proper time with proper procedures.Classrooms are very neat and would be pleasing to study in there. Every lab and classrooms are cleaned twice a day. Vit has a huge library with a variety of books and with no restrictions. Hostel and mess are very appealing and does provide hygienic food.
The quality of teaching is literally perfect. The curriculum is updated to the latest. Every faculty are well trained and experienced. Even in this pandemic, VIT was able to complete a semester online without missing out on any aspect from a regular semester.
I am still a graduating student in VIT. Not sure about placements but I came to know that more than 20 of them have been placed in top companies in 2019 with a minimum salary package of 35 lakhs. And others were placed in esteemed companies.
I am pursuing B.Tech Mechanical Engineering and my course costs 1.98 lakhs per year. It is worth the money. They have a lot of Student Chapters, Clubs, and etc which will be very helpful for our placements. Since the quality of teaching, infrastructure, the environment, placement guidance is very appealing, I consider it worth the money, in my point of view.
It is a 192 acres campus with several grounds, academic blocks, sports centres, gym, hostel, restaurant. Campus life is simply cool. No restrictions for anything. You are free to acquire the knowledge available or play whatever you want except you have to study whenever you need to.
GYM was inaugurated recently at the end of 2019. The swimming pool is yet to come. One would enjoy studying here.
One of the best infrastructures is VIT Chennai. Classrooms, labs, libraries here in VIT Chennai are cozy and looks comfortable with unique styles and space. They provide Free WiFi all over the blocks. The sports centers are the best part of my college. We have Two Football grounds, One cricket ground, 2 VolleyBall court, 2 tennis court, 2 handball court, 2 BasketBall courts and there is a separate indoor auditorium for Indoor games such as Tabletennis etc.. There are so many to explore in VIT.
We have the best faculties here. Faculties are kind and friendly and also they help us in any work that we need to do for example research papers, internships, student partners, faculty advisors, and many more. In Vit Chennai, faculties are like candles they consume themselves to give the best to the students.
Placements are great here in VIT. Around 700 companies approach VIT for placements. Previously 7 students were selected by Microsoft for approx.43 lakhs LPA. They ensure that students are ready for interviews through several mock interviews. Best and high reputed companies like Microsoft, PayPal come here to VIT for placements.
The infrastructure is good. Wifi is poor sometimes. The campus overall is clean. The libraries are good with many different books. The faculties are highly skilled except 1 or 2 who can be rejected during ffcs.
All the faculties are good except 1 or 2. The ffcs system can make us choose the faculties we want. The curriculum is updated as it is foreign syllabus. The ppts will be sent to the students for studying.
From what I heard from the seniors is that VIT has 100% placements. The CSE dept has very good placements when compared to other depts. The companies recruiting are good. The average salary is offered is also good.
The fees is a little too much for undergraduation. But I guess its worth as the opportunities are good. I guess the fees could be reduced a little as not everyone will be able to afford that much fees.
Its safe and cool. The faculties are not very strict and student friendly. But few are exceptions. The peer group will be good. All the students are talented and make the class average challenging. Emeergencies can be handled easily as treatments will be given inside the campus.
Overall the students will have a good and pleasant college life. They will be exposed to new learning and extra skills. A place to learn and a chance to grow. Cultural fests are avaerage. Vellore campus has better fests.
It has the latest technology and equipments in the laboratory. All the classrooms are equipped with smart boards and students have access to free Wi-fi within the campus. All the classrooms and the environment is kept clean and well maintained and food available in both Hostel mess and Cafeteria are hygiene.
It has been ranked among the top 450 universities in the world by the QS World University Rankings. And also it has been ranked among the top 20 universities in the country for the fourth time consecutively. And the syllabus and the curriculum are updated frequently so that students pursuing their degree from VIT won't be lagging.
VIT claims 100% placements and all the students studying in VIT gets placed in top companies. Hghest package(CTC) is around 42 lakhs per annum offered by Microsoft. Many reputed companies including Intel, Amazon, Dell, Qualcomm, InfoSys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro participated in hiring from VIT.
The college has two main academic blocks, an administration block and a library apart from the hostel blocks. All the classrooms are equipped with projector facilities and the labs are well-equipped. There are 6 hostel blocks including one separate block for first year boys and similarly for girls.
I am studying B.Tech Computer Science with Specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Most of the faculty have done their PhDs and the faculty count for each department is pretty good, so is their teaching. My curriculum is updated according to the latest standards and has basic courses that are mandatory for a computer science engineer as well as courses that cover core concepts of AI and ML. We also get to choose which subjects we want to study and under which faculty.
In 2019-2020, over 700 companies have come to VIT Chennai for placements. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA by Microsoft. The total number of job offers were around 6000 among which around 500 were under the Super Dream category.
All engineering courses cost the same per annum but it differs based on the category in which you get your admission, which in turn, depends on your VITEEE rank. I got my admission in the first category and the total fees per annum was around 1.95 LPA. Yes, the money I spent in it is worth the campus life, teaching services, and other cultural as well as technical exposure I received at the college.
The college has a vast campus of around 180 acres of land. VIT Chennai is well known for its "Green Campus". There are 2 academic blocks and an administration block apart from the 6 hostel blocks, medical center, food court, gym and Library. Sports amenities include basketball grounds, football grounds, tennis court, volley ball court and whatnot. Food court and eateries serve good quality food and the WiFi is also not that bad around the campus. Moreover, the campus is ragging-free.

To get into VIT Chennai for law through CLAT 2024, the rank required can vary based on the number of applicants and the cut-off for that year. However, for general reference, a rank below 2000 may increase your chances. You should check VIT’s official website or counseling updates for more specific details on cut-offs and eligibility criteria.
With a rank of 27,000 in VITEEE, it may be difficult to secure admission into the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or VLSI Design branches in VIT Chennai under Category 2 or Category 1. Typically, these branches have higher demand and competitive cutoffs. The VITEEE cutoffs for top branches tend to be lower for Category 2, but securing a spot in ECE or VLSI Design with your rank seems challenging. For further details, you can check the official VIT Chennai admission page.
