Hello!

First of all, both the colleges are well known and established. So choosing which is better for you depends on your personal preference.

Total fees for B. Tech Mechanical Engineering in VIT Vellore is 7.80 lakhs whereas the fees in Amrita is 12 lakhs.

Talking about placements in 2021, Average package offered at VIT was 6.5 lakhs and Average package at Amrita was 4.45 lakhs.

Amrita has a higher All India ranking than VIT. Both the colleges have facilities like Boys and Girls hostel, gym, cafeteria, Hospital/ Medical services and more.

There are other factors as well that you might consider like the distance of the College from your house(if you're staying in the same city/state).

My suggestion is going with VIT Vellore as you might get lot of exposure.

Hope this helps.

Above all else you want to know which school you are expecting and to get in CSE  NIT Trichy, best for CSE branch through jee mains percentile you need to score at least 98 percentile in jee mains assuming you are general class. Even to get admission to other colleges you need to score above the 95 percentile otherwise the chances would be less.

Hope this helps.

Hello aspirant,

Hope you are doing absolutely great.

So with regard to your query, generally in order to get admission into Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, they accept the merit scored in JEE Mains exam and also the AEEE, so even though if you had scored less marks in the board exams, just don't worry about that. Try to score better marks in JEE Mains and AEEE, then you will definitely get the seat in Amrita University.

Checkout the following link for any information regarding AEEE: https://engineering.careers360.com/exams/aeee

Hope this helps you!!

You have tagged Amrita Vishwa vidyapeetam in your question so I am answering about its placements. The average placement package is 5.8 lakh per annum. Hello Sir,

I may tell you that percentile is not the right criteria through which students get admissions in to Amrita University, Rank and Marks in the Equivalent examinations are. So, looking at the previous year Cutoff trends for AEEE exam, your son will need a marks of around 140+ in AEEE and a equivalent rank of below 2000 to get a admission seat in Amrita University coimbatore Branch.

further, please note that the above mentioned prediction of marks and rank is totally based on the previous year AEEE cutoff whihc may vary this year, since the AEEE cutoff ranks bound to change every year.

Further, to know more about the AEEE cutoff for previous years, you can follow the below mentioned link to know more : https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/aeee-cutoff

I hope that this will help.

Hi,

Machine learning and Artificial intelligence has wide scope in all engineering disciplines and has wide area of application, in near future demanding of AI and ml will be higher, whether in current market scenerio data science is also demanding, if you have interest for statistics and probability oriented functional approach you should take cse with data science.

The thing that stands out with CSE AI is the fact that it’s brand new. The syllabus is freshly designed and I have to admit, it looks exciting ( you can find the syllabus on Amrita’s website) - it is focused and it doesn’t totally neglect CS fundamentals. The coursework is mostly projects, rather than leaning on an exam-oriented approach. It might be more “intense” than the traditional CS - but that is something relative so don’t rely on that. Overall, it sounds exciting - choose it, if you know what you are doing. Don’t make ‘blind’ decision solely based on the fact that you hear that “AI” is the next big thing or not. Make your own research, try to understand what “AI” is really about, try to find what the fields within it are (it’s a huge, huge area) - you can find anything from low level data analytic jobs working with spreadsheets and that is “AI” to PhD-research-level stuff - and where you can end up depends on your interest and your passion, and to discover both, it takes time and effort from your side. If you don’t like AI, don’t choose it and that should be obvious. Your normal CS course would give you a taste of almost everything in CS. If you still have no idea, try to find seniors, alumni and faculty and talk with them directly.

On a final note, anything new has its own ‘risk’ simply because of the fact that it is new and hasn’t stood the test of time. That being said, both of them are pretty good choices.

Hope this helps.

All the best.

Hi there,

I am not getting any clue for providing you an appropriate answer. Since you have not mentioned the college name or any particular course name, you must mention the university name for the same.

I request you to kindly mention the college name or course name.

Thank you:)

Dear Vikas Virat,

For academic year 2022, that means the next coming year. The admissions in the next year will commence from april to june. Moreover, it depends on university to university as every university or college has its set of rules and regulations. But generally, the admission process goes on from May to July or April to June. It is better if you enquire your concerned college or university you want to enroll in. Feel free to drop any such queries related to this or else. We are always ready to help you.

Hope this sorted your query.

Good Luck :)
