Hello Shikhar,
With a rank of 74 in the OBC-NCL (PWD) category in JEE Main, your chances of getting into NIT Warangal for the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) branch are quite limited. NIT Warangal is one of the top NITs, and typically, the cutoff for CSE is significantly higher, often around the top ranks of the category.
Recommendations for JoSAA Counseling
Look for Other NITs : Consider applying to other NITs where the cutoff might be lower. Some NITs that have been known to have slightly lower cutoffs for CSE in previous years include:
Consider Other Branches
: If you're flexible, consider applying for other branches of engineering at NIT Warangal or other NITs where your rank may secure a seat.
Stay Updated
: Keep an eye on the official JoSAA website for the latest cutoffs, as these can fluctuate each year based on the number of applicants and overall performance.
Tips for Counseling

Hi
hope you doing well
While having a score of 98.70 percentile in JEE Mains, your CRL (Common Rank List) rank would likely be around 25,000 to 30,000
Getting CSE at NIT Warangal is highly competitive, especially for candidates from the General category. Typically, the closing rank for CSE at NIT Warangal is much lower, especially for candidates from other states. For instance, the closing rank for CSE in recent years for the General category tends to be within the range of 2,000 to 3,000 (for the Home State quota) and even lower for the Other State quota.
For NIT's in CSE you can see few colleges like :
NIT Silchar
NIT Srinagar
NIT Agartala
NIT Mizoram
NIT Meghalaya
NIT Nagaland
NIT Manipur
NIT Sikkim
also you can go for good IIIT's as per your rank

Hy,
Choosing between MNNIT Allahabad (Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology) for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and NIT Warangal (National Institute of Technology) for Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) involves evaluating several factors. Here’s a detailed comparison to help you make an informed decision:
Choosing between NIT Andhra Pradesh for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) and NIT Warangal for Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) depends on your career interests, strengths, and future goals. Here are some factors to consider:
NIT Andhra Pradesh (CSE)
- CSE is generally in high demand: Computer Science graduates have a wide range of job opportunities in software development, data science, artificial intelligence etc.
- Higher starting salaries: CSE graduates often receive higher starting salaries compared to other engineering disciplines.
- Growing industry: The tech industry is expanding, and skills in programming and software development are increasing.
NIT Warangal (EEE)
- Reputation and ranking: NIT Warangal is one of the top NITs in India with a strong reputation and established network.
- st rong alumni network: Being an older and more prestigious institution, NIT Warangal has a robust alumni network, which can be beneficial for mentorship and job placements.
- Diverse opportunities: EEE graduates can work in various industries including electronics, power, telecommunications, and more.
Personal Considerations
- Interest and Strengths: Your interest and aptitude in either computer science or electrical and electronics engineering should be a major deciding factor.
- long-term goals Consider where you see yourself in the future. If you have a strong interest in software and tech, CSE would be more aligned. If you are passionate about electrical systems, electronics, and power, then EEE might be the way to go.

Hello Aspirant,
It's a good score but there are various factors which decides the cut offs and factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs and number of seats available in the college and difficulty level of the paper also play a vital role .
As per my knowledge you should get branches in NIT Warangal like Electrical and Electronics engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
The other non core branches would be a tough nit to crack in this score.
For more information about the cut offs you can check out the link given below -

The college boasts a well-structured campus with excellent infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with the latest teaching aids. The labs are well-maintained, supporting hands-on learning. The library is extensive and well-organized. The sports facilities are commendable.
The infrastructure of the college is average. However, environmental planning department has good infrastructure. Classes are air-conditioned with comfortable seats and Wi-Fi. The canteen food is affordable and good. The hostel rooms are developed to accommodate one student per room. However, due to lack of rooms usually, 2 people share the room (it's on a consent basis, if the room is allotted to you, then it's your wish to give consent and accommodate other classmates and no discount on fees will be given for consent).
The college has a great infrastructure and facilites for the students including smart classrooms, gymnasium and multi sports arena for the students. The classrooms are completely smart equipped with smart boards and microphones for a great learning experience. The Wi-Fi is also good and library provides many resources helpful in the MBA journey. The food and living hygiene is maintained at its best.
