The college infrastructure is really wonderful. Their are two entrance. One from the front, the main entrance consisting of a huge gate and the other the back side infront of the boys hostel. The classes are divided into diploma and Btech. Also a special floor for all the teachers cabin. The labs are in a different section and every block is linked with each . A section for the buses are also there. One girls hostel and two 3 boys hostel and also staff quarters.
There are also 5-6 teachers for each department. And the teachers are mostly Mtech or Phd holders. They have experience of almost 7-8 years in the academics. I am from Instrumentation branch and our teachers used to take presentation every month. and question answer round were their in every classes which helped us to have a strong basic concept
The placement is not good so far. May be due to the location and also we don't have a strong placement committee. But they are trying their best to improve it. But the number of students cracking the GATE is also increasing which is also a achievement for the college.
Yes i consider it as value for money. Because our fee was not that much. And I being from ST, it was even more less more me. The mess fee was only 9K. and the academics 30K. But in return you get a central degree. The college is a Dim university now. They have also opened Mtech for few branch now. So overall it is value for money.
Engineering is the best life. The campus life was amazing. We had students from different region but all are friends. And boys hostel, you can relate the fun and enjoyment. Wether it is a birthday or a cricket match. All together. The techers were friendly and we had matches with teachers too on sundays. Benches are their in the campus where groups seat together and plan of starting a business together.
Central institute of technology is also known as CIT Kokrajhar. The infrastructure of this institute is large and beautiful. The laboratory, classroom and the Library is awesome.Internet facility is 24×7 with high speed. There is 3 boys hostel and one girls hostel inside the campus with full speed internet, while one girls hostel is outside the campus. The food provided by the mess is not good.
The faculties of this institute is highly qualified young, energetic as well experienced, most of the faculties have PhD while some are pursuing PhD. As I belong to ECE Dept and the faculties of ECE dept is really helpful and experienced.
I graduated in 2018, and the scenario of placement was very poor. The placement officers working really hard for placement and they succeeded for better placement in last two years.Overall the placement scenario is improving and I hope it will be much better in upcoming days
CIT Kokrajhar is centrally funded institute and the fees was affordable at my time. Probably fees is now increased.
Campus life was amazing. There is a cultural as well technical festival In a year. Everyone gets chance to explore their talent in these festivals.
Talking about infrastructure and facilities of the college, campus is quite big and is being extended even further. Labs are well equipped and classrooms have great ambience. World class library with ultra modern digital facilities. Hostels are great with all possible facilities and are quite clean as well except a few old ones. Free internet and college bus facilities provided to all the students.
Coming to the academic scenario of the college, most faculties of all the departments are great. Most of them are from top engineering colleges themselves and that is the main reason why the institute has been able to make a competitive environment within a very short span of its foundation. But there are certain fields in which the institution can do a lot better, like bringing in some new branches specially mechanical.
One expect which I filled needs a lot of improvement is placements. Most of our alumni are placed and some of them if achieve great heights by getting into PSU and executive position of many top level organisations and companies. But most of them have achieved success through do off campus interviews, so campus placements definitely need to improve.
Talking about fee structure, being a Government engineering College the total expense of the courses is quite economical. I had to pay roughly around 35 to 40 thousand per year so my total academic expense in 4 years would be around 1.5 lacs.
Campus life is quite fun. Students come from very different cultures and everyone gets along pretty well. Seniors are mostly very helpful. Students are always engaged in cultural, technical, non-technical and many other activities alongside their studies.
Overall it's a good college with green infrastructure and good academic developments and looking at the in which it is growing, it definitely has the potential to be among the top engineering colleges of the country very soon.
The infrastructure of the college is very good. It has a great mix of traditional and modern arechelogical theme. The classrooms are a very advanced equipped with all the modern facilities. The library is one of the best in north east India, equpped with fully centralised Air Conditioning system,RFID based controlled having digital library setup options. The institute is fully equipped with Internet, and the canteens also serve great food with high quality and hygiene.
I have completed by Graduation and Diploma from this college opting ECE. The curriculum is very much updated keeping in view the requirements of the present industry and education sector. The teachers are also very well very hard working and guide the students preety well.
Placements have been a concern ,not only for this institute but also other colleges too. However some very reputed organisations viz.Wipro,Indian Army,ITC,Master India Brewing Company etc have organised placements and the students are happy with that.
Course for 1 year is very less as compared to other institutes. We can opt for a degree course within 30K max.
Campus experience is superb i feel. The hostels are very large and have all the basic facilities that an institute should have. The campus also has sports ground, indoor gym too. Focus should be given to increase the number of hostels here.
One of the largest campus area with beautiful infrastructure. A dedicated classrooms for students of each year. Laboratory facilities are available for each specialization. Apart from academic infrastructure, the college also focuses on the environment and is full of greenery.
The professors here are so helpful and friendly, you can reach out to them anytime. They are ready to help you with the best of their knowledge be it in the final projects or the regular academics. A good place to learn.
Since the institute is quite new and the location of the institute is quite far from the industrial or the service hub of the state, placements are quite a problem. Its not like you won't get a chance. you definitely will get a chance but grabbing them is your responsibility.
The course cost per year is very less since it is a central institute. it is totally a value for money, and if got a chance, you should grab it because education wise it is more worthy than the cost that is assigned.
It has a beautiful campus and with lots and loads of greenness. Students can engage in sports activities as there are facilities for it. The staff members including the mess staff, cleaning staff etc are very friendly and ready to help.
Yeah our college have average facility and the infrastructure is also quite good. Although we dont have enough equipment but we have managed to passed out degree with it. By the time our college is working on it to provide enough equipment to students. But it have to work with sports but hostel LAN connection was all good. The living space was also clean and we got to have hygienic food.
I studied electronic and communication engineering but it was not my choice as i did not got the preferred rank to choose branch. The quality of teaching is poor. Teachers teach us only theory and gave notes but they didn't focused on giving us project.yes my curriculum updated. Yeah my studies make me ready for job and here im preparing for the job
The quality of placement is very poor. We didnot got any placement. CIT's placement cell were unable to bring any placement for us. They have never worked for placement. Even our seniors nor juniors were got to sit on a placement. Hardly one or two placement comes in one two years and the results are here we are struggling for job.
CIT course fee is approx 50-60 per year which was ok and average but graduating from there is not worth for money as only few students from there after graduation were working on engineer field. Most of the students were either unemployed or working in other fields many of them are struggling for job.
College campus was quite good and its library was awesome where a students can spend quality time for studing. But the college environment is very poor as many of the students there were addicted to liquors. Teachers there were good and supportive. And the location of the college was also perfect.its safe as we have girls and boys hostel separately. And safety of every students were maintained. And in case of emergency college have abulance of itself so in case of emergency it can rushed to hosp
My four year experience was poor. I feel like i have wasted all of my four years studing engineer. It would be better if i would have studied at any other field. Not a single placement came. So i never got chance to sit at placement where i could show my abilities. Although college campus facility were good enough but it could have worked on placement of students or else we wont be struggling for job right now.
The college campus is very beautiful. Full of trees at the side of the road. We have one girls hostel and two boys hostel. The staff quarters are also there. The best thing about the campus is the library. The architecture of the library is very unique. There is 24*7 LAN connection in the hostels and also in the classrooms. A guest house is also there. A basketball ground and a LT ground is present. Buses are available for the day boarders
I passed out in 2018 and my branch is Electronics and communication engineering. The teachers are well educated, mostly Phd from good colleges. Technical competitions were organized so that students could have a practical knowledge also. Projects were given to us fully on practical based and i still remember spending late evening after the classes in the Lab with my team to complete the task.
The college is a bit weak in the part of placement. Till our batch there was no placement process. But last year from the juniors i could get the information that some companies came up with some opportunities and many got placed. They were offering contractual jobs with 2 months of training at first.
Yes it is value for money because the fee is not that high and also they provide the adequate facilities. i remenber our mess fee was only like 8-9k in a yearly basis. And the fee was also not high. It was around 30K. But now they have increased it.
Being an engineer its always said that engineering is the best life. And yes it is. I did my Diploma and also Btech from the same college. We have warden in our girl's hostel. 9 was the entry time in the campus. And 12 inside the hostel because many used to spend time in the library or Lab doing project or group studies. Some use to play basketbal and some sit around the benches of the park. There is a kid's park too for the kid's of the staffs. A canteen and ATM inside the campus.
My college infrastructure was pretty good but in terms of facilities and equipment, there is requirement to improve. It didn't have the all equipments and also what everever equipments were there in laboratory, some of them were damaged. Classrooms were very much spacious. Library was the one of the best library in the entire state of Assam.
I got my btech degree from electronics and communication stream. Faculties were good but some faculties were not able to make students understand the subject although they had the knowledge. Well, i passed out in 2k18 and right now i'm doing job in my signalling field. Actually, it all depends on students, faculty can't study on behalf of students. They can just raise the interest in students.
In my college, placement was the worst. They didn't call the core companies more. In my year of graduation only wipro came that too only one time in the starting of 7th semester after that only BPO came.
As my college was central so, the academic fees was not so high. All together of mess, hostel and academic, fees was approx 60k per Annum. Yeah, i do feel that i got my money's worth. Even i recommend the students to go and study there as many engineering colleges are demanding very much money as compared to this.
I enjoyed a lot my campus-life. Although i got to live that life for only one year as before that girls hostel were not inside campus. In that one year only i enjoyed a lot. Students can play their sports in particular space. There was a beautiful small garden also were we girls used to swing on the jhula.
Overall, i can say that i enjoyed my college life. Although in terms of equipments and facilities, there is a requirement to improve but still one can go and study there.
Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar is a public Deemed to be University. I've completed my Diploma and Degree in Civil Engineering from the Institute. It has all the facilities, infrastructures and equipments necessary for education. The classrooms are large and clean and also equipped with digital facilities. There are also hall rooms for seminars. The laboratories are also equipped with most of the instruments. The library is one of a kind and is fully digital.
I have completed Diploma and Degree in Civil Engineering from Central Institute of Technology, Kokrajhar. The quality of teaching is great. Although it requires a little improvement and update in the curriculum. The laboratories possess modern equipments and instruments necessary for modern education.
The quality of placements is average. The training and placement cell needs some improvements. Very less number of companies visit the Institute. Students are sent in other institutions for job interviews.
During my course duration, the fees was much lesser than it is now. Everything was worth it except the hostel mess food. The quality of the food we got was not worth at all. We used to skip the food as much as possible.
My campus life was awesome. With great friends and people around me, I spent my 6 years of life with full enjoyment and learnt a lot of lessons. The campus never failed to amaze us with it's beautiful scenery. During emergencies, the institute would handle the situation perfectly. The campus is safe.
It has most of the infrastructures generally expected in an engineering institute. Though the proper usage existing facilities are not up to the point. Also some other facilities which have the potential for a better growth and welfare of the students are not provided yet, as compared to some facilities with lesser requirement for the student's development.
In comparison to the facilities and infrastructure available, the academics are not satisfied. Students need to learn more about real life job environments or about different ways to become an entrepreneur by using the knowledge gained in the graduation and diploma.
The institute as much I have seen in my 4 years of pursuing graduation here doesn't have a placement held at the institute other than some pool campusing in other colleges. Some batches passed and got out without getting to seat in a single placement throughout the graduation years.
The money it costs to study and getting graduated from here costs much lesser than other institutions having similar kind of facilities and infrastructure.
Great campus life. Enjoyed my college days completely. I miss my campus life and the moments it holds.
If academics are looked after than the institute will give out students having talents to compete with all over the world.
