First of all, there are a lot of factors we should keep in mind before choosing the University for taking admission for such kind of courses, as the University we are choosing should have the required approval for the course, must provide us deep and practical knowledge of core subjects, must adapt for new technologies faster and the curriculum should be revised regularly to meet the company’s standard. And then the placements also plays a very vital role in that.

Keeping all these points in mind, I would say LPU will be a better choice.

Hi, LPU is ranked 23 and CU is ranked 45 by NIRF. CU has a NAAC grade of A+. CU has more number of students intake but LPU has more number of faculty and the enrollment of students is higher means there are less seats in LPU but the number of students enrolling are higher than CU. There is no girls hostel and no library available in LPU. There are 42 B.E/B.Tech course where as CU has 33.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework is a methodology adopted by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to rank institutions. NIRF ranking system is done on taking ito account different parameters like quality of education, research output, graduation outcome, average packages offered during placements, campus facilities, outreach, inclusivity etc. So sometimes there might be a case when a private college is ranked better than a govt. college.

Chandigarh University is ranked 77th whereas LPU is ranked 99th. But drawing out a conclusion based on ranking is not advisable.

I suggest you to look after the imporant criteria you are looking for in a college and better go for it.

Not particularly for BBA, but yes, chandigarh university does offer scholarship to meritorious students in between the semesters. The performance is checked while entrance exams and during the semesters, students doing exceptionally well in any subject discipline are given scholarship in terms of fees waiver in some percent. From a ranking perspective based on the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIRF), Chandigarh University for Management course is ranked at 51, which makes them in the top 100 colleges offering management courses.  BBA is a junior management program and this program will also have the same quality of education as that the MBA program. LPU Phagwara has a better overall ranking as compared to Chandigarh University.
But in terms of B.Tech LPU is ranked 87 and CU is ranked 84 by NIRF.

Choosing a college depends majorly on placement statistics of the college. In LPU the placement is great for all the students persuing different courses such as management, design and engineering.
The highest package has been increasing every year. This year it went up to 42 LPA by Microsoft in Engineering field. But if we look at it closely these placements are majorly for automobile, software and chemical engineers in the engineering discipline.

Now coming to placement scene in Chandigarh University, highest package was 35 LPA for CS/IT and 20 LPA for electrical and electronics in 2020. 118 core companies have selected students from Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Automobile branches.  Telecom & mobile manufacturing companies such as  Bharti Airtel, Reliance Communication, Verizon, Lava and electronics and home appliance companies like Panasonic, Samsung also selected the students from Electrical and Electronics branches.

So the conclusion is if you want to build your career in Electrical Engineering you should go for Chandigarh University as you will get placed in the companies of your field.
