My college is bit of bad in terms of infrastructure, here you will get all the equipments but talking about their conditions is that they all may not work properly , Classrooms are good with smart board in each class .
Here I am pursuing btech in chemical engineering as it has very good exposure in field of chemical Engineering and I always wanted to be chemical engineer, due to its huge alumni network it has best future ,or you may say that your future is in safe hands if you are pursuing chemical Engineering from HBTU.
Placements are very good on an overall average 8 lakh of .. considering all branches and maximum is 60lakh .. about 80-85% students are being placed every year from HBTU kanpur.Placement process is easy here first you should satisfy eligibility criteria for the desired company and they you will seat for the interview process.
It cost 135000 for first year and 127500 for next 3 years . But paying fee for this collage is worh it because you will ready for getting placement and the end of 4th year , and here you get exposure for the next of your future if you want to carry out your education further
Campus Life is just awesome it has many councils and sub councils which is run by students bosy and the respective heads are selected through interview process , and talking about the professors it's on you how you make bind with teacher so that they can support you , location of the institute is quite good you have the market within 1km range
Yes the college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. In classroom there is digital board and laboratories are well organized, libraries, sports centers and hostels they all are well maintained. Yes the living spaces clean and the food hygienic.
I'm studying mechanical engineering. It's my b.tech 2nd year. Quality of teaching is good. Yes the curriculum is updated includes all the recent development in the field of every branches .yes it make for job ready.
Placement is very nice. Around 80-90% students placed. Highest package 60lakh per annually.it from CS. Average pacakage of 7 lakh per annum . The placement process is easy and pleasant. Yes the college is very supportive.
Nice
College campus is good and the students of Harcourt butler technical university are very talented teachers and staffs are very supportive. Location near nawabganj .yes it is safe.yes it can handle emergencies
Nice
College infrastructure is not at par with nits, iiits. It's infrastructure is similar to the aktu college not good not bad. Classroom are moderate, library I. e. Central Library is best in the college, this is the thing that i compare with the colleges like nits, etc. Living specs , we can say clean yes and food is hygienic.
In terms of academics, only bookish knowledge is given no focus on practical knowledge they never encourage u to do some wonderful projects. The curriculum is not yet updated, old curriculum is followed by college department. Professors are good in Cse department if we compare it with other department
Placements is the only thing that worth it. In Cse department, the average package goes nearly 10 lpa and median package ranges between 9-10 lpa. Placement process is not that tough but the coding round and hr round takes place which makes it difficult to crack.
When u come to college your main motive is to get good placement with an enormous amount of knowledge, but when u are a cs student, then a laptop is sufficient for u to get knowledge, so at the end you want to take better placement which ultimately u get after 4 years. So, it totally worth your money.
Campus life is good, the main thing is mainly 80%people from up so u find many people from your own culture, so they are quite more interactive . The college is not in the remote place. Teachers are supportive in Cse department, they always help the students.
Overall college is good however it has some good and bad features but overall when it comes to study quality, student quality, they all are great.Placement are nice. College is too old so it is having rich heritage.
The infrastructure is old , the labs are well equipped . classrooms are spacious . The entire campus is enabled with WiFi of jio but it's very slow. The living spaces and campus surroundings are very clean but sometimes streets dogs find roaming inside the campus or even classes. The college lacks in providing good sports facilities.
Teaching quality is awesome. Hbtu really have educated teachers who has nice teaching skills and also helps students when needed. The curriculum is updated regularly and includes all the recent developments in the field.
Placements are the best in our college . The highest salary packages is like 60 LPA. There are Great recruiters .And the college has a very wide alumni network. The average salary package for all branches is 8-9 LPA . The College is also very supportive .
Not new and sophisticated instruments but old and defected instruments are available. new instruments are available in small numbers. But the environment and li ing space is clean and good enough. Library is good.
I am studying civil engineering. Quality of teaching good enough. Some teachers are very good and some are average. I do think my curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes , of course what we study makes us job ready.
Placement in my branch is not very good. Highest package goes to computer science student. And also the placement percentage of same branch is higher. Placement process is of course very easy and pleasant
Infrastructure is not that good it is ok ok as the college is about 100 years old the buildings are maintained and the labs are being renovated with modern equipments and cleanliness is maintained in the campus but canteens are not good
Faculty members are well qualified either they are PhD holder or Mtech from renowned universities, curriculum is almost same as AKTU which focuses more on theory than practicals which is a major drawback in almost all indian educational institutions
Placement records are amazing here almost 90% students get placed and in technology branches it goes as high as 100 %average placement is around 6 lakhs per annum which is a good start for a fresh engineering graduate in India
135000 is the fee one pay for one year (only academic)
University is situated in the centre of the city so one will never be Far from KFC mcD and malls
proper cleanliness is maintained in the campus buildings are almost now 100 years old hence proper maintenance is done labs are being renovated so that to make them at par to the modern technology whole campus is secured with cctv cameras
faculty are well qualified and are phd holders i am a student of plastic technology as it is something out of the league and only few universities across the country offer this course faculty is supportive
placement is the main factors which attracts people here as per records almost 90% students get placed and few technology branches like paint plastic placements go as high as 100% and the average package is around 6 lakhs
fees is high as compared to few government collages but those collages stand no where in front of HBTU taking academic fees only it is around 135000 rs per annum and that can be waived with the help of state govt scholarships
campus life is good as proper cleanliness is maintained in the campus and whole campus is covered with cctv cameras teachers facuty is supportive seniors are also supportive and its a huge campus to roam
The infrastructure is one the main issues of this college. But we can see slowly improvement in the infrastructure. Specially the roads inside the campus been have improved in a good pace. The buildings are painted too.
Academics has improved from year 2019 because of recruitment of faculties from TEQUIP-III. These new teachers are disciplined, punctual in classes and have a good knowledge of their subject. Even sometimes they guide for competitive exams too.
This year the placement has improved too. But we didn't got much companies in civil engineering. But we got good improvement in the salary package. Some students even got it from companies like Google too.
our college have all the basic facilities and proper cleanliness is maintained in the campus and all labs are up to the mark but being 100 years old they need renovation which is ongoing in the college .
I am a student of plastic technology branch the quality of teaching is good but depends on the professors they are well qualified and most of them are PhD holders from well known collages but as government collage it depends on your caliber
placement is the main factor which influences the students and this collage do quite well in it taking cse branch the highest packages go around 60 lakh and 48 lakh in and out campus &technology branches have 100%placement
it cost around 135000 rs per year excluding hostel and overheads and it is worthy to that being a developing university and good placement and also you can get state scholarships if you are unable to pay the fees
we have 2 fests in a year excluding the freshers one is cultural and tech fest and second one is sports fest and you will enjoy the fullest in it apart it you will get good supportive seniors to help you around
The colleges has all basic facilities available except the sports where no maintenance or any kind of heed is given. The hostels are comparatively good and well maintained. The main building has all the basic facilities available except WIFI which has been installed in hostels from this year onwards
The teachers are decent for first year which are mostly guest lecturers but the permanent faculties are highly qualified and experienced. The curriculum is not updated but the proffesors are industry oriented.
Placements are very good in HBTU , due to its large alumni base and high reputation as the best state government College in UP. Many recruiters come for placement for Plastic Technology like Reliance , ExxonMobil and some automobile companies give placement too.
The fees for college is 1,35,000 , but scholarship is provided if you are eligible for it. Hostel fees is 63,000 per year. So the total comes around 2 lakh per year which is quite high for a government College but I feel it's worth the money.
The campus is not very happening and there are not many activities to take part in while in college. After the college gets over there's not much up to look to in the campus except those who play some sports. Not many clubs are present.
Dear
According to the information with a JEE Mains rank of 98,300 in the general category, getting admission to NITs, IIITs, or HBTI might be challenging as these institutes have higher cutoffs. However, you still have some options:
Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU) : You have a good chance of getting admission to various branches here.
Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTI) : This university also offers several engineering branches, and your rank might be competitive for admission.
Thapar University : While it's a reputed institution, your rank might be on the lower side for top branches. However, you can still try for less competitive branches.
It's always a good idea to check the latest cutoff trends and contact the admission offices of these universities for the most accurate information.

Thanks.
Hi
hope you doing well
You have a good chance of getting CSE with 93.34 percentile in JEE Mains 2024 and OBC-NCL category from Uttar Pradesh at HBTU (Harcourt Butler Technical University), Kanpur through AKTU/UPTU counseling.
So, your CRL (Common Rank List) rank is around 61,800 .
Generally, the OBC rank is around 25-30% of the CRL rank.
Estimated OBC-NCL rank = 15,000 - 18,500.
If CSE seems tight, you can still get some excellent branches like:
Best Wishes.
Hello Aditya,
The CSE cut off in computer science in HBTU was 22184 for the other state quota and for the Uttar Pradesh domicile quota, it was also the same. So you should get around 98 percentile in order to get the cse branch in this college.
However the cut off may vary due to certain factors such as number of candidates appearing in the examination, previous year cutoffs and difficulty level of the examination and the number of seats available in the college.
