hello aspirant,

see for iim ahmedabad, kolkata you need to score 99-100 percentile. but only on cat scores it is not certain that you surely get calls, they also screens your 10+2 scores and graduation marks. also if you have done any job or internship that will give credit to your profile. but as per the score of your academic record, if you get more than 99 percentile you will surely get calls from IIM b, c.

Hi,

Admissions to IIM is based on the CAT percentile. The cut-off percentile for IIMs differ every year based on mainly 5 factors i.e. the difficulty level of the exam, number of test takers, candidates qualified, number of seats and the institute's ranking and reputation.

As you want to know specifically about IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, as per the previous years i e. 2018's cutoff, you will need to score 80 percentile in CAT if you are from general, 75 percentile if you are from NC-OBC cum transgender category, 70 percentile if you belong to SC and PwD category and 65 for ST.

In case of IIM Bangalore, you will need to score an overall percentile of 90, 80, 75, 70 and 60 if you are from general, NC-OBC, SC, ST and DA categories respectively.

Dear Amit, PWD Category is again Categorised into PWD-UR/OBC-NCL/TG/SC and PWD-ST.The 2019 CAT cut off sectional percentiles are as follows:

Hello dear,
.
Accordingly scoring 120+ will make you to get 90%.
Most of the business schools will consider this as a good score.
.
If you wanted to get a call From IIM then you should be needed 98 to 99%.Which is like a score of  160+
.
Scoring 160+ will make you get nearly 98%.
I would suggest you to score more then 165 if you wanted to get a call from IIM.
.
Hope this was relevant to your question.
Best of luck

Hello,

You have a pretty good chance of getting a call form the 3 top IIM of the country that is A/B/C. There is a good weightage for your board amd graduation marks. But no one can guarantee you a call from these prestigious institutes. Because there are many people applying for these colleges. You should try to get as much high percentile as you can get because a 0.01 more can give you a seat.

But overall your chanyare good.

Hello,
.
I don't think you will ne surely getting a call from IIM.
As i have heard before that IIM needs 98% to give a call letter.
.
You haven't scored less but you haven't reached its highest to get a call letter.
.
I can just suggest you to give a try.Why to loose hope without giving a try.So go for the best hope for the best.
.
Best of luck.

Along with CAT score all the colleges you apply make a merit list to call the students for the second round of interview and WSAT on the basis of your aggregate score and which is based on different parameters such as CAT marks, 10th, 12th and graduation percentage, work experience, engineer or non-engineer, gender etc. whose weightage vary according to different colleges.

Good Luck!

Feel free to  ask further.

Hi Aspirant,

As per the details provided by you, i can say that you have got a good chance to get into IIM or any top b-schools if you score a decent percentile. Since you are a physically challenged candidate, therefore this marks will be sufficient for you to get into top b-schools of India. You must focus on getting 75+ percentile and then you'll be able to easily get into any top b-schools including IIMs.

Hope this helps..
All the best and Good Luck

Dear aspirant, you must have to score above 98 percentile to be called from the top IIMs. The reason is simple, you have got less marks is graduation. The IIMs look for the overall score. Whether it's your class 12th, class 10th, or graduation. If you have got less in graduation then do well in CAT to make your overall score better. And now a days the IIMs have given more wieghtage to extra corriculars like your PI for selection. So don't worry do well in CAT.

All the best

Hope this helps

Hello
CAT or Common Admission Test, national level management entrance conducted for admission to 20 IIMs and in more than 1000 B-schools across India.
With that profile you need 99.5+ percentile to get interview call from top IIMs.
However these percentile vary every year deoending upon factors like level of toughness of exam and number of students appearing etc.
