Over 32 companies participated in the Final Placements 2021 for the FABM program, ranging from sectors such as Agri Inputs and Services, Food and Agri Consulting, Agri Commodity Trading, AgriTech, Logistics and Supply Chain, FMCG, Food Processing, e-Commerce, Retail, Biomedical and Pharmaceuticals.

The placement drive welcomed first-time recruiters like Mahindra Logistics, IFFCO Group, Grant Thornton, Jio Platforms Ltd., Bayer, FMC, and Samunnati. Regular recruiters including Reckitt Benckiser, Mahyco, Olam, NAFED, AMUL, Innoterra (Earlier Pioneering Ventures), Stryker and RBL Bank also renewed their relationship with the PGP-FABM programme.

The average salary of the FABM programme stands at approximately 15 LPA.

The placement process was conducted in two stages. The first was the laterals process where firms interviewed students with prior work experience and offered them mid level managerial positions. The second stage was the final placement process where firms were grouped into cohorts based on the profile offered, and group of cohorts were invited to campus across different clusters. 131 firms participated with 170 different roles in the placement process in 2021.

The maximum highest domestic salary was 60 LPA and a median salary of 28 LPA was offered. Many international offers were also there with a highest salary of 1.32 crore per annum.

Each IIM releases a final placement report at the end of the placement season each year. The placement report contains salary packages and various other statistics regarding to the placement of the institute. It is a good indicator of how favourable an IIM is in the eyes of the recruiter and is very helpful in deciding the return of investment of the institute. The salary statistics are as follows:

IIM Ahmedabad: This institute has the best placement statistics across all other IIMs. The highest domestic salary is 83 LPA and highest international salary is 132 LPA. The average salary is 28 LPA.

IIM Bangalore: This institute also gives a tough competition to IIMA. The highest package is 80 LPA and the average package of 28 LPA.

IIM Calcutta: This institute is also not far behind. The highest international package is 87 LPA and the highest domestic package is 60 LPA. The average package is 28 LPA.

All 3 programs are for those who have some sort of professional experience in their career and also all the three programmes are of a 1-year duration.

IIM Ahemdabad PGPX

Criteria to get admission in this course is:

A valid GMAT/GRE score (GMAT/GRE scores are valid for five years from the date to the application deadline date of the round in which the candidate is applying. The earliest acceptable GMAT/GRE test date for the three rounds are - Round 1 : August 24, 2016 Round 2 : October 5, 2016 Round 3 : December 7, 2016. Age of 25 years as of March 31, 202 Minimum 4 years of full-time work experience after completion of graduation as of March 31, 2022. A candidate should have experience of 5 to 15 years.

The fee of this pgpx programme is 30 lakh and the average placement is also stood at 30 LPA.

IIM Banglore (EPGP)-

The program  Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management is available only for those who have 5 to 12 years of experience in the industry. Its admission criteria is very much similar to the IIMA selection criteria which I have already stated above. The fee structure of this programme is 29 lakh for shared accommodation and 31 lakh for family accommodation. And the placement for the session of 2019-2020 is 29.88 LPA which I think is a very good deal

ISB PGP -

At ISB, its post-graduation programme is ranked no 1 globally in offering a 1-year management programme. Its campus is situated in Hyderabad and Mohali. This programme is available for only those professionals who have experience of 2-20 years in a wide range of industry. The fees of their programme are approximately 40 lakh and the placement stood at 27.13 LPA.

Now according to me, if I see in terms of ROI, the programme offered by IIM A & B is a good deal to make but if I see the brand value of ISB PGP, it is little bit more than the other two.

Yes, definitely you can get into IIM, your degree and graduation stream does not matter. You just need a graduation degree, except for the diploma any degree will work. You also have to qualify an all India exam for admission in Management colleges called CAT( Common Admission Test ) .

If you have relevant skills and have a good problem solving ability along with the speaking skills, you can make it to IIMs.
