Hello,

Your marks are quiet good. As you belong to SC category, it will give you an advantage to clear CAT as the cutoff is less for SC/ST category. However for IIM Calcutta, the cutoffs of previous years papers were 70 percentile for SC category. But remember cutoffs do vary every year and depend on the toughness of paper, the no of candidates appearing in it and so on.

All the best.

Dear Aspirant,

Only academic scores are not enough to crack IIMs. You have to obtain qualifying percentile in CAT to get admission in IIM C or IIM I . Your academic scores are quite good. In simple terms, IIMs give a certain weightage to each score along with CAT Percentile, WAT, GD, PI, work experience. So there are certain criteria's on which the admission is done. For now, you are eligible but keep in mind to score in other criteria as well.

Dear Aspirant,

Officially they are rated as B++ as per National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which makes them an above average college. If we are to look at Hyderabad alone and if we consider ICFAI, St Joseph’s College and Nasree Monjeee Institute of Management as the top colleges then certainly they will fall in the top 10.  They have also shown a few BBA placements, which is good sign, hence we can endorse your choice.

Good Luck

Hello Aspirant,

Executive mba program is full-time one year programme. One should have minimum five years experience for the executive programme. Total fees for this programme is about 27 lakhs. It is best in all Infrastructure, placements, Industry exposure etc.

IIM Calcutta is the first management institute in the country to be Triple Accreditation in AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, i.e., accredited by all the three major accreditation agencies in the world for management education. Only 5 other business schools in Asia  are currently ‘Triple Accredited’.

Dear,

Start by knowing the right syllabus. To draw a clear cut preparation plan for the entrance exam, it is important  to have knowledge of the IIMC syllabus. The right books and study material are good assets to help crack the IIMC entrance exam. While the newspapers are good sources for current affairs and events. Some books you can refer are:

1.Popular Master Guide for Journalism & Mass Communication Entrance Examination by R Gupta

2. Handbook of Mass Communication (Theory and Practice)-V K Joshi

3.Mass Communication Journalism Entrance Examination of All Indian Universities-Arihant

A significant aspect of preparation for IIMC entrance exam is to learn from the mistakes made during the course of preparation.and while solving papers. The trick is to understand where it went wrong and how to rectify it.

You can refer the entire syllabus and past papers on the following site: https://media.careers360.com/articles/iimc-entrance-exam

Hope this helps!

Hey there

51.10 score in CAT is very less score and you will not get any of the top MBA colleges which accepts cat as per the previous year analysis. You can prepare for other entrance exams like MAT, SNAP, CMAT, XAT etc. because not only CAT score is there for every good management college you can go for other exams too.
