To get a call from the IIMs, your past academic records, your graduation stream, your gender, your work experience, all are considered. IIM Calcutta shortlists around 2000 candidates for the final selection round. The shortlisting criteria of IIM Calcutta are so designed that more than 40% female candidates are shortlisted by IIMC for PI-WAT.

In an average profile, you can expect a call from IIM-C at anything above 99 percentile, but for an engineer, male candidate with average acads, it is unlikely that a call will be made, however, call can be expected at 99.5+.

the application form of IIMC entrance exam has released on 30 april 2020 and the last date to apply for the same is 30 may 2020 , admit card is expected to be released in second week of june 2020 and the IIMC entrance exam is likely to be held on 20 june 2020 and 21 june 2020

IIMC is conducted for admission to postgraduate diploma program in journalism with its following campuses;

IIMC New Delhi
IIMC Dhenkanal
IIMC Aizawl
IIMC Amravati
IIMC Jammu
IIMC Kottayam

IIMC doesn't have its campus in Kolkata, so you can't get admission there, however if you're interested to give this exam,you may choose any of the aforementioned campus.

You have decent score in your academics but for a call from IIM Calcutta is majorly decided by your CAT score so whatever your CAT score will be that is going to decide your interview call as your academics is average. IIM Calcutta is top IIM so don't get panic if not get a call there are other good MBA colleges.

Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Examination  (IMC) application form 2020 will be released tentatively in the first week of May in online mode. As minimum score to get seat in the Indian institute management calcutta and it will be based on category and resevations and no.of seats available for the candidates ,no.of candidates available for the examination,previous year cutoff ,difficulty level of the question paper and you wanted to know the cutoff marks based on writen ability test,personal discussion and group discussion based on cat cutoff marks are oc-80 and above,obc-75 and above,ews-75 and above,sc-70 and above, st-65 and above ,pwd-65 and above marks to get seat in IIM calcutta to get seat in that university and it is the 1st established IIM in INDIA in Kolkata in the state west bengal so study well and work hard to get good marks in the future examinations ALL THE BEST for your future and i think my suggestions and knowledge may be helpful to u.

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication do not offer undergraduate courses.

I'm sorry to inform you that both of these institutes don't have a conventional master's programme.

IIMC provides a PG Diploma and DU runs a 5 year integrated course in Journalism.

Both of them select students via an entrance examination for the programmes every year.

IIM Calcutta, provide facilities for a digital library and good internet connectivity with a good internet speed. The food provided is decent for the students. Provided a good infrastructure and course is good overall, equipped with industry-demand course are present in the curriculum.

Excellent infrastructure for the college is provided to the students. Library is one of the best when compared to other colleges. Adequate outdoor sessions and lab work. Quality of food can improve. Wi-Fi can be rated average and needs to be improvement. The Wi-Fi speed is also fluctuates some times.

According to me college has very good infrastructure is quite very good. Hostels are far better than the other colleges. There is a well-maintained library and a separate reading hall for students. Wi-Fi connection is good but some of the you have to use your own mobile data. Labs are well maintained.
