Hii lakshya

Last year the paper of jee mains was quiet tough. The closing marks for IIIT Hyderabad was for  CSE- 256 and ECE it was 208.

So the cutoff for IIIT Hyderabad is very high through jee mains.

Hope it helps you

Hello Sai Shankar Boga,

As far as the closing rank of 2018 is taken into consideration, the Electrical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad closed at exactly 2,090 AIR for a GENERAL category student.

So expect the closing rank to be around and about this range itself.

Hello Pranay,

The Engineering Physics department of IIT Hyderabad is extremely academic oriented department here in IIT Hyderabad. Join only if you have genuine interest in the subject.

As far as placements are concerned, it is something similar to Electrical Engineering department.

Dear aspirant, Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture from IIT Madras is better than Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy in IIT Hyderabad. You may have good scope in future for these fields.

Hello Student,

The score that you have mentioned is your Jee Mains Score and let me clear that with Jee mains score one can only get into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

If you want IIT Hyderabad or any other IIT you need to get a rank in Jee Advanced, which will further decide your seat in IITs.

Hope this will help.

Feel free to ask any doubts.

Hello,

In order to qualify JEE Advanced you need 30% overall and 10% in each of the sections. The admission occurs through JoSAA Counselling. The admission is done using rank list and cut-off is used for shortlisting the candidates. So the rank is required to predict whether you may get into IIT Hyderabad or not. This cut-off depends on the course, seat matrix as well as category. Please also note this that IITs do not admit students based on Home State (HS) quota. It is NITs that offer this quota.

Hey there,

Your chances of getting the IIT is very low. Your score must have a more better number to get the ECE Mtech at any IIT. I will suggest you to go for nits in the northeastern part of country. Some of these are NIT Mizoram, Agartala etc.

I hope your have got the point.

Good luck ahead !

Hello,
