In-depth curriculum focused on subjects like English, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, and more.
I would ignou 4 stars out of 5 for their infrastructure i have completed my one year in ignou and I think all the buildings are decently maintained and there are different blocks for every stream, they even have a playground area, they do provide library facilities but books are not available
I am studying Mca from there, we had some online classes for few weeks which was okay okay but now we dont have any online classes, they don't even call us for labs. Stars i have given is for curriculum as it is latest and updated according to the trends in the market.
If you are thinking at placement from ignou ,you might be at wrong place. TThy do call some companies to hire you but u will get average salary. They focus on mass hiring . Less students are hired and students have to look for job on their own
I do think it is value for money . One semester fee for Mca is around 11,000 and then around 1500 we have to pay for exam fees . So the facilities they are providing in this range is pretty nice. But they should send the books on time otherwise they are of no use
Campus life is pretty decent they have big classrooms and even the students are very friendly . We can hangout in the playground or have some food in the canteen. Even though we dont have classes but teachers are of good nature
Ignou is an open University which provides distance learning so it allocates colleges or you can choose by your own choice and the colleges under IGNOU are really well maintained. Mostly they are government colleges so they have all necessary facilities and equipment but IGNOU provides all the material online. They have their own app too. You can do everything virtually. I chose maharaja agrasen college, delhi for my course and it is delhi University's college and it is well maintained too. It has a huge library with all the basic academic resources. And they have all kind if staffs to make the campus clean.
I am studying MCA_NEW from ignou and it provides me all the books, previous year paper online and we can download it anytime from the website. As in my course we don't go college on Saturday and Sundays but teachers are supportive, they clearify all the queries over the phone.
I don't think that they provide any big placement offers but they have their own placement cell where we can apply and hunt for jobs. Students cracked jobs by their own only. As it is distance learning so it doesn't focus on any placements.
I am paying 10-12 thousand rupees per semester for my course but it varies with every courses they provide. I think it's cheap and material and standard of paper is above average ao i would say it is value-for-money. It also provides practical knowledge too. Money would not wasted if we go there for distance learning courses.
As i said, i opt for maharaja agrasen college which is also affiliated to delhi University. But as an IGNOU student they ask us to come on Saturday or sundays only and their is no such activities providing by them, they do workshops online very often but not physical engagement. Teachers are very supportive and their management is helpful too, they resolve our queries over an mail too.
I think, if anyone is going for a open distance learning and they want to do from government affiliated University then IGNOU might be the good choice.
The college campus is pretty good. They have all the basic requirements like proper washrooms, assembly halls, playgrounds, classrooms, WiFi is also available throughout the campus. All the buildings are also well maintained from time to time.
I am currently studying BBA from here because its one of the well known universities in Delhi. The quality of teaching is pretty decent. The curriculum is up to date and includes all recent developments.
Placements are good if you have a good performance you will surely get a good placement. Approx 85% students get placed. The highest package that I know of was around 13Lpa with is good. The average salary is around 6 7 Lacks per annum.
campus buzzes with energy. From the lively student union to the bustling cafeteria, there's always something happening. . I've made amazing friends through clubs and events, and it feels like there's a community for everyone.
The experience was very good ,all things were well organized,Well maintained Building with all basic amenities and Good size classroom with good atmosphere for studying ,well maintained washroom. All though it's good
Various course are available at college.I have choosen MASTER IN POLITICAL SCIENCE AS MY Subject and quality of teaching is quite good in IGNOU, The syllabus is well updated as per other universities.
Placement opportunities are good in college .Most of the students are from working sector only and they choose this option because they can study without affecting working life and it helps in career upgrade most people get good position in various companies
So IGNOU is open distance institution so it's main centre is in Delhi but every city has its regional center and study centre... So I have choosen ma psychology so I got study centre in Vijaywada SSR AND CVR clg it's govt clg but improving their infrastructure
So already said IGNOU will provide us clg and I have allotted in Vijaywada srr and CVR govt clg... Till now classes have not started as it's distance learning so I don't know much about it but the review and clg profile is average
IGNOU as open distance institution doesn't have placements ... But the clg which I have been allotted have placements and regular bases have job mela but i don't the exact figure about placements and salary offered
IGNOU offers lots of course which we can do in distance that is graduation or post graduation or any certificate course... The cost of the course is decent and money is worth to it as it's central university so it's certificate have value
I have not been to the campus till now but the video photo and profile that have seen in net is average.. Aa it's a govt clg in which I have been allotted so it is as per it .... Can't say very good or very bad but average
So till now I have not been to clg but IGNOU provides different courses which you can do in distance by doing ajy job and you can choose your regional center and study centre according to your choice and also the exam centre where ever you want in any city or state
All the facilities are good Benches are good electricity watercoller sperate toilets for boys and girls canteen food was good quality corridors are well cleaned proper security facility safe for specially for girls
In terms of academics good curriculum coverage updated study material available online as well as offline teacher were very good coverage of material is good mine course was ba English hons coverage was very good
Don't about the proper placement system of the college because it was the open University so I don't think there is any placement plans and but yes the coverage of curriculum is that much good that will be rock in your domain
College fee is bare min
As Indira Gandhi National Open University is an open university, therefore books need to be collected from the regional centre of the city in case of bachelor degrees. Students can select their study centre at the time of admission where they had to submit their assignments timely. Before the pandemic, classes were organised by the concerned authorities of the respective study centre.
I m doing bachelor degree major in Economics. As it is an open university as mentioned above, I had never experienced the physical classes but the curriculum is updated accordingly. Yes, it provides us the opportunity to apply in various govt/ non govt sectors. Any one who is already in a job , can continue his/her further studies.
No, the university will be not provide any kind of placements to its students as it's a distance mode university. Anyone who want to complete his studies along with his job, can easily complete any kind of courses . But, he has to submit his assignments timely in order to make himself eligible for the giving term examination.
Great Infrastructure of affiliate College , As IGNOU is a distant education University, it doesn't have it's own college but it has collaboration with other colleges which have great infrastructure and every facilities available which a student needed.
IGNOU has great academic system, it has a credit system for the courses you choose. It has also have a good options available to choose from variety of Courses in 2nd and 3rd year of any discipline or programme.
As IGNOU is a distant education University, it doesn't provide us placement offers which is a negative point of this University. But one can have placement by their own efforts if he/she has scored good marks as even though this is a distant education University, it is recognised in our whole country.
It is definitely best value for money as compared to other universities because it's fees is very much affordable by anyone, when compared to other universities which have high charges high academic fees. Being a government University it does provide value for money.
IGNOU doesn't have it's own college at all places but it has collaboration with other colleges which have great campus which has all facilities at par with all expensive private colleges. Good thing is it mainly located at the center of the City so it is convenient to reach there.
If anyone wants to do graduation or post graduation or any course by distance learning, then I definitely recommend IGNOU University to everyone because of its systematic management, guidance and ease of access.
Average college just for open thing not for good education not a good connection even don't know how to connect team exam are to worst no mails no information are available there no hostels and nothing
Average not good there is no teacher available that time this thing never making you ready for job if you are doing job and you need graduate then only it's worth otherwise not for students no activity is there
No placement are there just do degree and do government exam preparation there is no any salary offer no package no supportive no private job give you periorit for there jobs i have done ba English graduation
My college have all the necessary facilities like labs, classroom, smart classes, library, ground, canteen, wifi and transport. All these things are used and well maintained. They always try to maintain clean environment.
I'm studying B.A in psychology because it's interesting and the teachers here make it more interesting. The books are all updated and the way of teaching is also good which can make you understand everything.
I have a senior friend from a different course, who passed out from this college and now he is working with a MNC which is quite good. He told me that you don't have to worry about placement just give your best with the studies.
I'm pursuing B.A in psychology which cost me 3500 per year which is not that much. Anyone can afford this much. I feel like I'm getting more than my money worth in this college. There's not a single thing which I can't use in this college.
Campus of my college is quite interesting. All the teachers are supporting in every situation. They organised all types of activities you can think of. They have all type of students from different states. It is safe.
Well I'll recommend you this college, if you like my review. You can also join.
Yes, a B.Sc Nursing student can pursue an M.Sc in Zoology through IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University), provided they meet the eligibility criteria for the course. Generally, IGNOU requires a B.Sc degree in a relevant discipline for admission to the M.Sc Zoology program.
Since B.Sc Nursing is a specialized course in healthcare, it might not directly align with the typical B.Sc degrees required for Zoology. However, some universities, including IGNOU, may offer flexibility depending on their specific admission policies.
To confirm, you should:
1. Check IGNOU’s specific eligibility requirements for the M.Sc Zoology program.
2. Contact the university's admission office to clarify if B.Sc Nursing students can apply
Dear Student,
It's understandable that you're a bit confused about which assignments to submit for your second year. Let me clarify this for you in simple terms.
Since you were admitted in the January 2022 batch and have completed your first-year exams, for your second-year exams in June 2025 , you need to submit the assignments that are specifically valid for the January 2023 session .
Here's why you might be seeing many assignment sessions on the portal: IGNOU offers admissions in two cycles every year - January and July. Therefore, assignments are created for each of these sessions. As a student of the January 2022 batch progressing to the second year, the relevant assignment session for your upcoming June 2025 exams will be the one corresponding to the academic year you are currently in, which started in January 2023 for your second-year courses.
How to identify the correct assignments:
In simple words: Think of it like this - you're now in your second year, which for the January intake students, started in January 2023. So, you need to do the homework (assignments) that was given for the students who started their second year with you in January 2023.
Make sure to download the correct assignment for each of your second-year courses, complete them as per the instructions provided by IGNOU (usually handwritten on A4 size paper with a cover page), and submit them at your designated study center before the last date of submission. Keep a photocopy of the submitted assignments and obtain an acknowledgment receipt from the study center.
I hope this clarifies your doubt. If you have your specific program name and second-year course codes, I might be able to provide more specific guidance. Good luck with your exams!
Hello,
Yes, you can pursue an MBA from a regular university and an M.Com from IGNOU simultaneously, as one is through regular mode and the other through distance learning. However, it might be challenging to manage both. An MBA alone holds significant value for corporate jobs, while M.Com is more academic-oriented. Focus on your career goals before deciding, as having both may not necessarily enhance job prospects.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
