Indira Gandhi Open University has its own campus for learning. it is well equipped and furnished in all respect. The classrooms, laboratories, libraries were up to the mark. There was a very good International sports centre there.
I rarely attended the campus for my studies because of my personal problems and health reasons. So I never had my academic curriculum done as per requirements. The negative aspect of my study was that I could'nt gave time to my studies.
The students of open universities are not given proper attention. This also happened with me. But after completing my education I was married to a lawyer and thereafter engaged in a private hospital as a caretaker.
I hadn't spent much on my course as it costs very less in an open University. so I was happy when I got my job in private hospital where I was paid properly. Overall I was happy with my performance in education and life.
I didn't spend much time in my campus an mostly studied from my living home. This was the reason that I could not much appreciate my campus. However, the teachers, employees and other staff was very good in their behaviour.
I don't have much experience of my college because i had not spent much time there even for studies also.
Indira Gandhi Open National University does not have good building. Generally students have to go to take classes in the alloted student centre. Centre does not have wifi facilities. Some alloted study centre are not well maintained.
Study material is easy to understand . We don't need to attend the classes regularly as it is not mandatory to attend. Teachers are not in regularly required for study . A good and proper self study can successfully clear the exam.
IGNOU give placement to the students but it is not that good. Package is also not good. There is no clear guidline and procedure for placement drive organised by students as not every student get it properly.
IGNOU is open University the graduation degree we get is considered as distance learning course. The course fees is based on it . It is not high the course is we get from IGNOU. Student who can not afford regular course can get degree from IGNOU.
There is not any campus life in this University. It is basically the degree for getting degree only. College do not organise any annual function, compitition , society work, that a regular college organise.
For those students who want to attend the classes can take their classes in the allocated study centre either it is college or any other institute. Teachers provided proper guidelines and techniques to study and how to clear the exam.
This is not mandatory to attend the classes regularly as it is open University students some students are working and some are not are not staying in the nearest location so IGNOU provide study material and those student who want to school more in the subjects can take previous year notes which will be very beneficial.
Indira Gandhi open University arranges placement drive for the students and it regularly give messages to the students as and when the placement drive happen. However the package is not very high in the IGNOU placement drive.
As I am a student from science background the MSc fees is not very high it is up to the study material provided and examination held by the university. It also take practical for the students I think fees is money worthy.
The campus life in in IGNOU is not good because there this is open University and this University do not organise any cultural activities for enhancing the curriculum skill of the students. There is no there is no national service scheme and NCC.
My college Infrastructure is very nice.classrooms are big and fully A.C ..In library all books are available. In classroom smart boards are available.all things are well managed.food quality is quite good.coordiors and classrooms are clean.
I am doing BSC from there.I attended the session at the end of the weekend. Teachers are well educated and very cooperative. They also provide the session in the online mode also..They work on the updated curriculum. They provide me the books also..
Yes... placement is also gud.. placement will be done after the completion of the course. Minimum package is 3 lakh per annum. In my course there is no requirement of placement but my some friends are doing others courses there and they told me they can provide the placement.
It's completely Valve for money..course fee is not too much high..They provide everything like books,Notes etc.
Campus is too good fully AC.but the worst thing is that the AC is not working.students participated in evey curriculum activities.. student and teachers both are support each other.location of the university is completely safe..it can handle the emergencies very well.

This is open distance learning so don't expect any teaching you have to study on your own. As Indira Gandhi National Open University is an open distance learning so there is no curriculum activities you get.
My course was traditional so I don't have information about placement. I have done B.sc so I don't have any knowledge about placement of Indira Gandhi National Open University. I don't know average salary provided or placement process.
It is value for money it takes you as fee.

The lack of a centralized physical campus doesn't hinder student engagement, as study centers offer local support, workshops, and seminars. Yes ignou have all infrastructure like lab, library, bank, clean classroom etc. It also provide so many facility to those student who are distance student. In ignou there are so many teacher who are very supportive. Living space are clean and food are hygienic.
I study bcom because i am interested in this subject And the quality of education is great because most educated teacher teaches us and his/ her teaching style is interesting. They all are very supportive they solve our query as soon as possible.
Yes my college is provided placements. About 80% student are placed. About 22-50 lakh is average salary. Highest salary package offered from my course is 50 lakh and the lowest salary package offer from my course is about 22 lakh
Course cost under 50 thousands
My college campuses is best because it provides so many facility to all student who are not able to join college regular basis ignou provide online education to all those student and it also provide hard copy of book and book are transfer to all those student home address.
My collage is best because I get many opportunity from there because I apply so many internship and i think any one who read my review from my opinion it is best option for study
The institute have all the required infrastructure which caters the need of students. Resources provided by IGNOU are more than sufficient for students to get holistic idea of their course. Space is clean and well maintained.
The study material provided is quite good and the coverage range from basic to advance. Curriculum is updated and covers latest syllabus pattern. Curriculum provides better overview of topics and have interrelation with other subjects.
Since the university provides correspondence courses to student and no regular classes are held. Placement drives doesn't happen at study centre level. It happens in form of Rojgar Mela at IGNOU headquartes in Delhi. So the scope of placement is not that great.
My regional centre is located in Lucknow and its infrastructure is so attractive and clean. It has all the necessary facilities available. It is fully air conditioned and well equipped. The centre also contains good furniture.
As it was a distance learning. I was studying with my job and the classes used to be conducted during the weekends and the teachers were very helping and supportive. They always help their students by clearing their doubts.
The placement was not too good. In fact it's just to complete the degree in an effective range. The fees range is economic. If you are doing any job and want to continue your studies then you can go for it.
The course costed around 5000 per year and I feel that I got my money worth.
My campus Life was too good. It is quite safe and all the staff, teachers and students all are so supportive. We got all the notifications regarding exams, assessment and assignments with the help of these staff.
The overall journey in IGNOU was good.
Hello Priya,
If you joined IGNOU in July 2023 and are preparing for exams in December 2024, you should submit the assignments for the July 2023 session, as these align with your admission cycle. IGNOU typically requires that you complete and submit assignments before the term-end examination for which you registered. For a one-year course, these assignments will usually be for the current academic year, covering the relevant study material provided to you.
To confirm, check your course's assignment submission guidelines on the IGNOU website or contact your study center, as some programs may have specific submission timelines.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
Hello Vijay,
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) issues 10+2 equivalence certificates primarily for individuals who have completed their schooling through non-traditional means, such as open schools or private candidates. While these certificates are recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), they are not applicable to students from traditional boards like the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP), and the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE).
The reason for this lack of recognition is that the curricula and assessment methods of BIEAP and TSBIE are distinct from those of open schools. As a result, IGNOU's equivalence certificates do not cover qualifications obtained through these traditional boards. Students from BIEAP or TSBIE seeking equivalence should consult their respective boards or educational authorities for guidance on recognition and equivalence of their qualifications.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
