College infrastructure of ignou is not so good, although they provide facilities but it is not up to mark,no library facilities available, you are just provided with study material both in hard and soft copy.
I am studying BCOM AF from IGNOU because I am pursuing ca course and along with it I have to do graduation also I.e why I am doing it from here .Doing any course from ignou will provide you valid degree it will not make you job ready.
IGNOU do not provide placements opportunity to its students ,yes you can do two courses simultaneously.but do not expect any type of campus placement opportunity.you will have to do hard work to get placed.
Government has made heavy investment into developing the acres of campus of IGNOU. To facilitate the modern education , this university has every possible facility which could be accessed in the campus itself.
The curriculum is ready to provide any student the knowledge that is required to step in the market and be relevant to the industry. Also the knowledge Bank that government makes available is much helpful.
People usually pursue government competitive exams after studying from IGNOU and completing basic education. People are standing at better positions in their life and this maybe is the result of the perception they developed after studying wide topics here.
Collège infrastructures of all the ignou colleges are well maintained, they provide every facility which are required, the college campus looks clean and hygienic, classes are huge and seats are also comfortable.
Being a CA student I was doing BCOM major in accountancy and finance, regular classes were not provided only weekend classes were provided, also it was not compulsory to attend the class it was totally up to you, whether you want to join or not,I attended few classes the quality of teaching is neither too good nor too bad.
I don't think that IGNOU provides placement to all the students, may be few of them got placed.Yes but it is very helpful if you are doing job or any competitive exam preparation then it will help you complete your education along with your job.
Doing any course from IGNOU is very affordable, you can complete your entire course by spending very few amount.
When it comes to infrastructure, government colleges, needless to say, are the most spacious and ultra developed places as the investment is heavy from the coffers of government. All the necessary facilities and utilities are available in the campus which is spread in various acres. Entire space is naturally green as it is built according to the government masterplan. Cleanliness is specially taken care of when it comes to the corridors and departments along with the canteen.
Well, our institute has a collaboration with the IGNOU and thus we decided to pursue the graduation from there as it complemented the curriculum we have in our professional course. We got the access to the most relevant study content making any aspirant industry ready and job ready. Timely assessments makes sure every student is catching up with the changing times.
Many of the IGNOU aspirants are in better places, all credit goes to the focused approach to the relevant material of changing market and environment. Highest position that a student has achieved is the position in the government departments. Average salary offered is 4 lakh rupees p.a. And the placement cell is really supportive if any assistance is required anytime. There was a particular course related to the Ph.D in which a student got placed at an great package.
Yes the college i have assigned has a proper necessary infrastructure ,facilities and equipments for the students. i have not been in the process of using any facilities but as far i know everything is awesome. The living spaces are clean.
I am studying the course BCOMAF and this is because i am a CA student and there is a MOU signed between ICAI and IGNOU. The cirriculum is totally updated and includes all the recent developments in the field. Yes, it makes my job ready.
I don't know much about the quality of placement at my college but i am sure it helps in placement things too. The college must be supportive in all the process of placements and must be pleasant for the students involved.
The course costed me a sum of Rs8800 includind all the fees which are included in it. It is totally worth the money since no university offers such smooth ambience at such cheap rate and with all the world class facilities.
Since i had opted for distance learning so i didn't enjoy the campus life but as i know it offers a lot of activities for the students to engage in co-curricular activities . Support staf ,teachers and teachers are all great and it is totally safe and can handle emergency.
Well I never went to my college campus as i am pursuing M. COM through distance mode. As far as I know they do have infrastructure available for their courses. Placement isn't good enough, only few students could make it
I am pursuing M. COM through distance mode. And being a CS aspirant I never went to attend any lectures. Although IGNOU do provides classes for their respective lectures . If I talk about any job opportunities then in my opinion distance learning is just for the sake of maximising your degrees and not the learnings .
There are some people who are well placed as I know, but there is no such good placement cell at ignou. I've never planned to apply for placement from IGNOU, so I'm not much aware about it. Since it is an open university so no complaint about this stuff.
Infrastructure of every IGNOU colleges are good, neat and clean, although I never went to attend college for classes, only went to give exams.Classrooms look nice, seats are also comfortable. Also there are huge space in college campus.
Being a CA student I never went to attend classes, but it was beneficial for me to study from IGNOU because it provides facility to get degree and education from distance mode.Weekend classes were conducted by the teachers.
There is no facility for placement in IGNOU colleges. Here you can only take degree,do not expect any placement opportunity. As it provide distance education so do not have any idea that how many students were studying at a time.
Yeah it's value for money, because by spending few amount you can get valuable degree, IGNOU'S degree is valid everywhere.
Yes, my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. Yes, our classroom, laboratories, libraries, sports centres and hostel along with its all accessories like wifi and smart boards all are very well maintained and supervised. Yes, the living space is very clean and the food is also hygienic and according to the care of the students. Thank you.
I am pursuing distance education in M.A in English. The quality of teaching is good. Yes, ourcurriculum is updated since it includes the recent developments in this field. I prefer this course because it makes me job ready since I wanna be a teacher and this course befits my future career.
The quality of placements at my college is average. I do not know the actual percentage of students in my college. I am totally unfamiliar of the highest salary package offered. I do not know anything about this. Sorry for my inconvenience.
It takes 6200 rupees per year. I don't know.
Nothing I have said everything already.
Surprisingly never had a class. Went to give exam only. Infrastructure is good. it has all the necessary requirements. Infrastructure is best and clean. It has smart boards. Smart classes. Good facilities.
I am pursuing BCA from IGNOU, unfortunately had only 5-6 online classes for first semester, no classes for second semester. Gave offline exam by doing self studies.Gave viva online by doing self studies only.Tried to contact teachers, very poor response from the team. No one takes the responsibility. We are left in the middle of the sea. We didn't had a single class no complaints regarding that but we are expected to write our exams with full accuracy by doing self study that's the biggest irony
Yeah it's good. As I am pursuing my BCA from IGNOU but no idea of its Alumini's. I see very less contact points, no one is clear with what he or she should tell to students. No one takes responsibility.
We are paying but doing self study and giving exams, not worthy. It may be due the pandemic but then too poorest response from the college.
Yeah it's good
I have only one request, can my college be worthy of what we are paying. I request College to listen students concerns and try to solve as many queries as they can. It will be a great help to all the students.
Good infrastructure as it is open university so it settles all over india. In infrasture it is very good as it is a government university. It has buildings as it works with different colleges all over india.
Good academics in this university as being an open university students study on their own and goes to college only to give the exam as it gives chance to explore and follow your passion with college time .
As this university not provides any special types of placements because it is a open university so students after taking degree from this college work or find jobs on their own like computer jobs and many government jobs also.
Very good value for money college
Good campus life
Overall very good university if you not want to go to college and take degree by just giving exams then this university is for you.
Hello Priya,
If you joined IGNOU in July 2023 and are preparing for exams in December 2024, you should submit the assignments for the July 2023 session, as these align with your admission cycle. IGNOU typically requires that you complete and submit assignments before the term-end examination for which you registered. For a one-year course, these assignments will usually be for the current academic year, covering the relevant study material provided to you.
To confirm, check your course's assignment submission guidelines on the IGNOU website or contact your study center, as some programs may have specific submission timelines.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
Hello Vijay,
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) issues 10+2 equivalence certificates primarily for individuals who have completed their schooling through non-traditional means, such as open schools or private candidates. While these certificates are recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), they are not applicable to students from traditional boards like the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP), and the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE).
The reason for this lack of recognition is that the curricula and assessment methods of BIEAP and TSBIE are distinct from those of open schools. As a result, IGNOU's equivalence certificates do not cover qualifications obtained through these traditional boards. Students from BIEAP or TSBIE seeking equivalence should consult their respective boards or educational authorities for guidance on recognition and equivalence of their qualifications.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
