JNU Delhi is hosting 45th Annual Conference on population dynamics and sustainability from Dec 12-14, 2024.
JNU Delhi to organises "Science Conclave-cum-National Biomedical Research Competition" from Dec 1 to 3, 2024.
Can't say for other depts but Life Sciences does have almost all the required facilities. Availability of equipment in individual labs varies according to individual funds of the lab. Maintenance can be better.
Curriculum is good. Most professors update study material regularly but some black sheep are always their. Professors are very knowledgeable without a doubt but imparting of that knowledge leaves something to be desired.
I did not see any placement drives organized in the department itself throughout the time I was there but the placement is through placement cell of JNU. Recently there was a call for placements in IFAS.
For the value paid, the facilities are most definitely good as is in any central university. I don't remember the exact amount but around 25,000 a year for a student staying in hostel would be the total of everything paid including the school fee.
Social culture is definitely good. People are free to express themselves without the fear of judgement. Many different events are organized regularly from cultural to scientific to athletic. Definitely safe for women. Only about 500-600 m distance from a munirka market and a mall near the west gate.
Being there is definitely an experience in itself. A very diverse group of people from every part of India to international students attend so exposure to different cultures is great. Great for extroverts and introverts alike.
Infrastructure is unique and every building is beautiful. Facilities provided by the university is amazing. Food varies from hostel to hostel and cleaning varies as well. But where I stayed it was really clean and hygienic.
The teaching is high quality, always pushing is to know the recent advances in our field. As I did M.Sc in Life sciences, we use to have paper presentations and assignments which involved recent studies and techniques.
Placements are not there in my department. But mostly everyone qualifies further exams and get selected in higher institutions. So in terms of job, no there is no placement. But for other departments like language and engineering, the placement rate is quite high.
My course doesn't cost too much. Let's say the only expanditure is food and hostel rent. If we consider only mess fees than that's also nominal. Yes everything is worth and beyond the money factor. It's definitely worth it.
Campus Life is the best. I can't describe it in the words. So many memories with the people I met. It a growing and learning process. Campus itself is so beautiful with the nature around you. Every season changes the way campus looks and it's just amazing. Not just the season but from the morning to night you can experience different life on a single day. A beautiful and peaceful one.
I love my campus. The place is beautiful but the people you meet there make your journey more beautiful ❤️
Library is good having all the book that are required for course.however no of books are not sufficient. Wifi connection is also good. Hostel are clean and in good condition.Food are also hygenic. Lab are also good.
Sls has wide course structure. This somehow create a burden on masrer student. M.Sc lab neeed to be updated . Curriculum of sls is good but it needed to be updated like it should include stress physiology in its course.
Jnu have any placement cell. However sls is more oriented toward research rather than job. So it doenot provide any job. If you are interested in job you can join any biotech company after completing master.
Jnu being a central university has low fee structure. The course fee and hostel rent is also low. Mess range ariund 2500-3000. Overall it is not that costly so, i feeel that my mpney is getting worth.
Campus of jnu is beautiful with greeeny. It have dhabas which is cost efficient and various prog that provide exposire to student. It is safe for women even in night also. It hase a market that generallly contain all the things that you required.
I would give 3 star. Jnu is a nice campus where uou can explore more. It has all the facilities that you neewd in daily basis. Hostel and mess food bith are goood.
A good plateform for Masters in Life Sciences. The environment, fundings infrastructure all are good. WiFi, smart Boards and other all are available. All the fixings and assets are available in labs. Maximu labs having good funding from DBT and others.
All professors give their best tò develop research interests in students. Yes, most of us are qualified GATE and JRF exams with good remarks. That have value in market just becasuse of finely designed curriculum.
MSc got job as Junior research fellows and most of Ph.D candidate join as RA in foreign universities. News related to placements and joing are given by institute timely. Most of the students got placements.
420 ruppee only per year, 210 rupee per semester. Even this fee is very less for what we get from SLS,JNU.
Safe and good campus life. Gives us global touch .
All the necessary infrastructure facility is there campus is very clean.hostel life is just lit 24 hours hostel u can enjoy night outs over here this place is a heaven next level enjoyment full too masti
The quality of teaching is average in life sciences but the lap work is worth it. There is a dissertation period as well but the professors are not good but gentics and some other professors are lit ?asf
There are as such no placements in the department or there are very less Placmemts. Phd u have to go for but u cannot have a placement in Msc. There are no opportunities as such for the Msc students at present
Have wiFi campus at both hostel area and academic area. Some facilities related to laboratories are not available in comparison to research institute. Well equipped classrooms and library present. Sports centre are not much developed.
Studying masters at school of Life sciences . Quality of teaching vary professor to professor. Curriculum is updated and includes most of the recent developments. My study is not job oriented as like technical courses.
Placement cell in my course is not properly functional. Average salary offered is 30-35 thousands. Placement process is easy. Generally courses in this university were designed according to research perspectives so student not placed as much
108 rupees per semester is my fee. We completed our master's in less than 500 rupees. JNU is popular in world for its low fee structure. JNU is premium model of public education. Yes, our money worth a lot
There is no worst feature of JNU campus. It is a Utopia. Students feel safe in campus during midnight . It is located in South delhi between the lush green area sorrounded by IIT delhi , sanjay van, and many research centers.
For masters degree this university is best place in india. If you got admission in integrated M.Sc-Ph.D courses in research institute like CCMB, TIFR then go for it. But best among universities who offers masters course
infrastructure of JNU is well and good, School of life sciences have well equipped labs, hostels have WiFi,shop centers are present , nice classrooms with smart classes.hostels provide delicious food and mess menu is so diverse.
have best faculties but blackboard teaching is done by only few faculties. curriculum is well and good but doesn't have surety for placements. Hence you need to apply by yourself to get placed, students usually go for PHD rather than getting placed
Placement is very rare , you have to apply by your means as campus selection is rare.very few coaching approaches to university if you want to teach you have to give interviews to get selected. ALLEN, AAKASH, IFAS, etc approaches to JNU for teaching NEET UG course
you can study here at a low cost that's what JNU was built for so that the students from social and economically backward area could also get equal opportunity to study in one of the best university of india.
best campus life
no.
I have started my post graduation in online mode due to the pandemic and never got a chance to visit my campus yet. But we had an online tour of the campus, classrooms, library, laboratories etc. Our classrooms has a capacity of 25-30 students. Our main building has separate departmental library with computers for online reading with full WiFi access throughout the campus. It's all clean and very eco-friendly with lots of greens everywhere.
Am currently pursuing post graduation in life Sciences and am really amazed looking at the syllabus of our course. It includes all the basic science subjects like physics, mathematics, computing and every single thing. You do a specialization in Biology with all the knowledge and grip over each subject. The quality of teaching is excellent with very student friendly well qualified teachers. I don't think I have a single complain about the quality of knowledge they provide us with even in online.
Sorry but I don't think our college provides any direct placement from our department. It's a reasearch based college and all the teachers mostly motivate us with academic future. There's no placement cell in my department.
It's a public university and the payment is of just Rs.200-300 for each year in post graduation. So yes it's the best college in India and the quality of teaching is also the best.
I haven't been to the campus yet but as I heard from my seniors it has all the facilities. The hostel is good , the canteens are good with reasonable price, good food. It's totally safe and has emergency services.
JNU can arrange some placement for those who doesn't want to pursue PhD.
The infrastructure is well maintained. JNU is one of the most prestigious institute in Delhi. The president of India has also visited this institute. There are a total of 600 faculty in this institute who have highly experienced in their field. Wi-Fi is available. 24*7 central library with reading halls.
I am pursuing bachelor degree in Spanish language. Most of the student came in this campus for the preparation of civil service examination. After complete my 12th i also came here for this idea. There are lots of students who cleared the UPSC exam. My 1st UPSC pre will be in 2022.
The quality of placements in my college is outstanding. But there is no any placement facility in bachelor degree because in bachelor the students of language are not fully experienced in Spoken so that's why there is no facility avail. In M.A you are eligible for the placement. There are lots of student who got selected for the Jobs in foreign country such as Latin America, South Korea, China, etc.
The fee structure of JNU is very Low. The student activity per semester fee is 2500. Almost most of students are belonging to middle class and below poverty line background family. The teaching style of teachers are so good. Here the students are read proper way, there is no issue regarding of money.
The life style of campus is so excellent. In the campus of JNU who find another world. The atmosphere of JNU is outstanding. A place where you feel freedom life and no one can disturbing of any manner. The teacher or students are good friend after the class. You never hesitate in front of any teachers and any senior students. JNU campus is fully safe by the support of staff and workers. No one came in a campus without permission of gate guard. The location of JNU is new Mehrauli road, New Delhi
Yes, There are lots of things which are not mention here because the space is sufficient. The Experience of JNU life is so good.
JNU has the best infrastructure. The rooms are big with stair type seating. Which makes classrooms more inclusive. All rooms are it conditioned. There are reading rooms at each floor. There are two libraries central and other departmental which gives us key to immense resources for good research.Hostel are two seater rooms, the newly built hostels are in better condition than the old ones.Food at the hostels are average. There are also plenty of dhabas all over the campus. There is a sports stadium
The professor are highly qualified in their field like Prof BS Chimney, Prof SD Muni, Prof AK Chenoy, Prof Anuradha chenoy, Prof Menon, Prof Varun Sahni to name a few. They have several research and books published. Their teaching quality is very lucid and easily understandable. In the coming decade this branch will grow it's importance. There are growing awareness on the need for specialisation in International relations. More and more branches in colleges are opening.curriculum is relevant.
In terms of placement my batch is the first batch, so there is not a fixed number. We are having an integrated course, so we will pass-out with M.Tech degree and the M.Tech placement is decent in our university. Many of them go for research oriented fields and some opt for the job. The highest I have seen is 21 Lacs per annum and the lowest last year was 8 Lacs per annum. Our college is very good in terms of academics.JNU is just next to IIT-D, so it will be very easy for companies to notice it.
1,50,000 and hostel fee is approx 23,000 and approx 2500 mess food. And I think this is money worth for me.The university is graded with NAAC A+ with NIRF ranking 2 in India. The university is famous for its research-oriented works and the work it has achieved for 50 years.JNU is possibly the most vibrant campus in India. Spread across a sprawling 1019 acres, it is the hotbed of political activity. You will find students from all walks of life here and would greatly enhance your own perspective
Many events and fests take place in this college to have some quality time. Our university is a closed campus, so it is good. Extracurricular activities like sports and cultural meets are organised from time to time every year.Just to enjoy in JNU and have freedom of expression. There are several seminars, book reviews and discussions happening all the way during the academic session. There needs to be limitation placed on active politics during academic session. The campus crowd is superb.
A very enthusiastic about and lively university with great faculty and infrastructure.

The CUET exam is scored out of 800 and is made up of multiple-choice questions. The cut-off is based on the candidate's percentile. To calculate the percentile, divide the number of candidates who scored the same or less than a candidate by the total number of candidates who took the exam, and then multiply by 100.
The cutoff decides on percentile of marks so the cutoff percentile is around 70 to 80 for st category candidates in CUET exam for uG courses as per previous years trends but if paper is easy it may goes up so be prepared for the exam.
