Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility in Entrance Category

  • B.A. (Hons.) Sanskrit from University of Delhi or any other recognized University. Minimum 45% marks for General and EWS Category and 40.5% for OBC and admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
  • B.A. (Program) Sanskrit of the University of Delhi or any recognized university with at least two papers of Sanskrit, 50% marks in aggregate for General and EWS category and 45% for OBC & admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
  • B.A. (Pass)/B.A. (Program) or BA (Hons.) of the University of Delhi or any recognized university with at least two papers of Sanskrit, 50% marks in aggregate for General and EWS category and 45% for OBC & admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
  • Shastri/Acharya (Sanskrit) examination of recognized University/Deemed University and Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Minimum 50% in aggregate for General and EWS Category and 45% for OBC/SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
  • B.A. (H) Examination in any subject of the University of Delhi of an examination recognized as equivalent there to with Sanskrit as subsidiary/concurrent subject. Minimum 50% for General and EWS Category and 45% for OBC in Hons. and minimum 60% for general 54% for OBC in Sanskrit. Subsidiary/Concurrent Subject & admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as University rules or equivalent grade.
  • M.A. examination in any Arts and Humanities (except Sanskrit) with at least two papers in Sanskrit from University of Delhi, Minimum 50% for General and EWS category & 45% for OBC marks in aggregate and admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
  • Master's degree in any subject from a recognized University with Diploma in Sanskrit of the University of Delhi, Minimum 50% for General and EWS category & 45% for OBC in aggregate and 50% for General and EWS category & 45% for OBC in Sanskrit Diploma and admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
  • Bachelor's degree of any recognized University and having a Diploma Sanskrit from University of Delhi, Minimum 50% for General and EWS category & 45% for OBC in aggregate and 50% for general & 45% for OBC in Sanskrit Diploma and admission of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.

Eligibility in Merit Category

  • B.A. (Hons.) Sanskrit from University of Delhi With minimum 60% marks for General Category, 54% for OBC and admissions of SC/ST/PwBD category candidates will be done as per University rules or equivalent grade.
