College Infrastructure

Yes madras University has a huge campus, and surprisingly all the classes have lights and fans which is surprising. It has mediocre canteen facilities, the campus is moderately clean but it could be cleaner. Parking facility is available for staff as well students.

Have a question related to Madras University ?

I am a CBSE student of Commerce stream studying in class 12 and I am having my upcoming board examination I am asuming that my aggregate marks will be 80% or 85% can I get a good become college which is affiliated under University of Kolkata?

Hello,

With an aggregate of 80% or 85% in Class 12 CBSE Commerce, you have a good chance of getting into a reputable BCom college under the University of Kolkata. Here’s a summary:

  1. Top Colleges : Some well-known colleges are St. Xavier’s College, Goenka College, Bhawanipur Education Society, Asutosh College, and Heramba Chandra College.

  2. Cut-Off Marks : For prestigious colleges like St. Xavier’s, the cut-off may be around 90%+, but with 80-85%, you can still get into good colleges, especially for General BCom.

  3. Reserved Categories : If you belong to SC, ST, or OBC, you might get a relaxation in cut-off marks.

  4. Specializations : BCom Honours courses may have higher cut-offs compared to General BCom.

  5. Entrance Exams : Some colleges like St. Xavier’s conduct entrance exams for BCom admissions.

  6. Multiple Options : Apply to several colleges to increase your chances. Keep track of admission updates.
