Heritage Institute Of Technology has very good infrastructure. The buildings and classes are well maintained and labs are well-equipped with instruments. Hostel and Wi-Fi facilities are available. However, hostels are separate for boys and girls.
Teachers are very helpful and are always eager to help and teach students. Some of the teachers are very well versed with the knowledge of their fields, while some can be categorized as average. Overall teaching is very well organized and the course curriculum is relevant.
Placements of Heritage Institute of Technology is pretty average. The placement is maximum from our course. The top recruiting companies who regularly visit the college are TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, etc. Internships are also provided by the recruiters.
Yes, my college has all facilities like classrooms, practical labs, mechanical workshops, a big library, sports facilities, college canteen etc...which are very much cleaner and hygienic..overall a clean environment to learn n grow
I am currently a final year student of b.tech in biotechnology ...yes of course there is detailed explanation of each n every topic of this course by our beloved faculty members..yes obviously it makes us job ready for various pharmaceutical companies n biotechnology based industries
Placement records are outstanding...almost 83 percent of the students are placed in various organisations n more than 75 percent students gets excellent job offers admitting package as more as 8/ per annum
It costs about 45k per semester which includes all the facilities like hostel, computer practice ..
College is fully well maintained by our staff and faculty members students can participate in various sports activities in the campus beside academics..they can use the e-library which is also available at our own library where they can discover new topics of interest n knowledge online
It's has been a very nice college since my degree competition ..overall a great place to learn, develop , grow and raise your potential to the fullest
There are separate desks, air conditions are mostly available in classrooms of post graduate courses. Modern well-equipped computer labs, Wi-Fi facility but the college provides hostel facility only for girls and its pretty descent. Other practical labs and workshops are also good with quite a good number of instruments available. For food there is a cafeteria and a huge college canteen. Quality of the food served is average and the prices are quite economical.
I am currently pursuing B. Tech in Biotechnology. Teaching quality is good. Most of the teachers are brilliant in their fields while some are average. Some teachers are so good that they even ask students to approach them anytime if they need help in anything. Course curriculum is relevant and it makes the students industry-ready. I think Heritage Institute of Technology is one of the best engineering colleges in India.
Placement quality of HITK is really good. About 90-95% students are placed every year in companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Godrej, Infosys. Product based companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys are giving a salary of about 3.5-4 lacs per annum. In 2013 one B. Tech student got placed in Microsoft with a salary of 20 lacs per annum. I think that is the highest package offered at HITK.
In B. Tech per year course fees is around 98000. I think that the course fees is OK as compared to other private engineering institutes like 122652 in Amity University Kolkata, 125000 in IIEST Shibpur, around 170000 in VIT and many famous colleges and facilities provided in turn starting from teaching, activities to infrastructure are really admirable.
Campus environment is very good with lots of opportunities. Heritage campus is located at Chowbaga road, behind Ruby General Hospital. The college can be said as lovely when comes the turn of organizing various activities, seminars, fests, competitions. There are various clubs where you can join and engage in several activities.
Overall the college is very good in case of learning and it is an ideal institution to enjoy college life.
My College have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. The building is divided into three divisions for the ease of all the departments. The classrooms are well aired and spacy. Every laboratory in our college has very good assistants and they maintain all the equipments. The canteen is clean and the food is hygienic. The living spaces are also clean. The campus lacks unlimited Wi-Fi usage and provides as low as 34MB Jio-Net to each phone number. There are no smart boards.
I am studying B.Tech in Biotechnology. The quality of teaching is average as some facilities excels in their subject while others are average. Yet, we have regular classes. The curriculum is well updated and includes most of the recent developments, yet also lacks a few compared to colleges in other states. Yes, what I study makes me job-ready.
Our college, being a private one, has great chances of placements. Almost 70-80 percent students are placed, while 10 percent of the students always opt for research in Universities abroad. As far as I know the highest salary package offered was 16 lacs per annum, though I am not sure about the course. Highest possibility of it being B.Tech in Engineering & Architecture. Average salary is around 4-5 lacs per annum. I am still not placed.
Per year cost of Engineering in most of the streams is around 1 lac. Yes, I feel the money is worth it.
College campus is fairly big with 3 main structures: the CME, CB and ICT, connected through foot connectors. The Central Building has a vast Auditorium. Beside the Engineering building there is a vast space and in the corner is standing the MBA building. There are two main playgrounds. For food, one can head to the Canteen or the Cafèteria, situated near the Heritage Academy. Once, inside the campus, it never feels unsafe, but the location of the college is remoted from the main city.
My experience in the college is fair. The teachers and staff are helpful and all the necessary facilities are available. Yes, there are a lot of flaws but they can be overlooked.
The college labs are fully equipped with the necessary arrangements. The computer labs are efficient and the biotech labs include all the tools required for proper learning . The library provides us with the necessary semester books before the commencement of the semester. Further there is a vide array of books to select from for other purposes amd digital library facilities are also provided. The food is hygeinic and within our budget. The washrooms and classes are kept clean .
The quality of teaching appeals to me. The teachers are serious in terms of academics and classes are conducted regularly with required attention to attendance. I feel the syllabus is a little unupdated but nevertheless several oppurtunites regarding courses and internships are encouraged by the instituition.
I am not familiar with the placement quality. From what i have learned usually a salary of 40,000 maximum i provided to those are lucky enough to get placed. The highest salary package usually goes to the computer science department and recruitment by TCS is pretty extensive from what i have learned from the college brochures. The placement numbers has seen a slight drop over the recent years owing to recession mostly.
As far as monetary matters are concerned i do feel that our college gives our moneys worth. Its a private institituition and so people know that it will charge quite a lot. But at the same time i am not blind to some reknowned instituitions who charge way more and still end up providing the same facilities and oppurtunities in majority of the cases.
Campus is very engaging. Academics usually keeps us busy but at the same time clubs organise various projects for us to explore and participate in. Teachers are quite nice as far as doubt clearing is concerned though i domt know much. The staff are proffessional amd helpful at least to me and the students are okay to get along with.
No i am done .
The infrastructure of the college is quite modern. It has three building to hold nine departments of B tech. It also has separated building for mass communication,M tech, Arts and law department all within the campus but has separate campus. The laboratories are quite good with modern technologies and CS and BT labs have ACs. Though all equipments are up to date. The campus holds a world class central library with digital library as well. Three sports ground along with cricket ground is there.
I am studying in Biotechnology department because i want to pursue a career in research in fields of biotechnology. The quality of teaching is good but some teachers are not suitable to teach in these institutions. Most of the professor are excellent, world class and we are happy to have them around. The curriculum is updated and include all recent developments in the field of biotechnology. The course is so well designed that it will prepare you for research as well as job. The guidance is good
Since I am in biotechnology department, the students here including me doesn't care much about placement. Though the placement system is quite good and keeps updated about interview procedure and others by organizing special seminars and giving us information. Few students in our department got placed in companies like Nestle, Cognizant,Amazon. Sometimes placement team fail to update you about details so you have to keep nudging them.High packages mainly goes to CS and EC departments. Rating- 5
My course costs about 1 lakhs per year. Considering reading in a private autonomous college and course of high quality, I get value for money. I am happy with the facilities. There are options for full or half scholarship as well considering the financial condition of student and academics.
The best feature of the college is central library. The central library is well-equipped with books and journals. The other features are active co-curriculum clubs like dance, drama, sports, singing where you can showcase your talents. The worst feature is some classrooms are hot enough and they need proper fans and even air conditioning. The conditions of Mechanical labs are bit nasty too. Students are knowledgeable, teachers are worthy and support staffs are kind. The management is not great.
The location of college is little in the village area and hence there is a little transportation problems. It cannot handle emergency situations well enough like Covid-19, bulbul because of poor management. The Fest Eclesia is one of the biggest fest in Eastern India engineering colleges. But due too some internal political issues and poor management, it has been organized in proper way for last 3 years. If you want a college with a lot of activities along with studies, Heritage welcomes you!
The college has a great campus, necessary infrastructure and decent labs for my stream (Biotechnology). The classrooms are clean, the canteen is extremely nice and hygienic. There is an in-campus girls hostel and the boys hostels are outside the campus. The library is decent and has a proper collection of books.
I'm currently pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. Most of the faculties are extremely helpful and qualified to teach although some exceptions can always be there, just as in other institutions. The syllabus is properly updated and the laboratories are well equipped.
Placements have not been up to the mark in the college and almost no core placements in my field takes place in the college, although a lot of IT companies come and recruit students each year. Overall, CSE, IT, ECE departments are well placed.
Each year (two semesters) my course fees sum up to almost 90,000 rupees. I feel it's worth it since college provides a lot of opportunity for growth and development, personally and professionally and prepares us for the future in our core fields.
Campus Life has been phenomenal. Students can engage in numerous club activities and social work in the various clubs. The Rotaract Club of HITK is one of the most active clubs in not just the college but also among the several rotaract clubs in the city. The staff and students are extremely friendly and the campus is ragging-free, hence safety of each individual is of utmost importance.
The entire campus covers approximately 70 acres of land with one ginormous playground. There is hostel facility within the campus. Large classrooms, well equipped laboratories and a huge central library with digital library facilities. The college has also got a large and spacious canteen which serves as a good common room for the students. A big central a.c. auditorium. Overall the infrastructure is excellent and well maintained.
I'm a first year Biotechnology student and would like to do research work in near future. From my experience, the teachers I know are very student friendly and are quiet helpful. The quality of teaching is good with proper supply of notes. The curriculum is updated each year according to the guidelines of MAKAUT required for the recent developments in the field.
The placement is good. Large number of companies come to the college every year and recruits almost 70-80% students. Most of the students from different departments are placed in various prestigious companies like Capgemini, Wipro, Cognizant etc.
Since it is a private college, the fee structure is not affordable by all.
The experience in this college till now has been really good. Lot of events took place, the most memorable one has to be the freshers event NASCENT 2020.
Yes, the college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. The library and college campus has it's own wifi and projectors are installed in classrooms. Yes, the college campus is clean.
I am a second year student studying biotechnology b.tech from 2018-2022. I am studying this because my favorite subject is biology and i love this field. The quality of teaching is really good. The curriculum is updated.
The quality of placements in our college is really good. About 70% to 80% of total students get placed every year and the salary package offered is really good and the average salary per year offered is 20-30 lakhs
My college has a nice infrastructure having all the necessary equipment and facilities. We have air conditioned laboratories, libraries and sports centres. Everything here is well maintained. Our canteen contains everything clean and hygienic.
I'm studying Biotechnology Engineering.BTech. The professors here, are very much responsible and dedicated towards their students. One class consists of maximum 70 people that's why one to one interaction is an advantage. And, yes obviously the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field.
The quality of placement is good. But obviously, 100% placement is not possible. We didn't appear for any placement program yet. But obviously I have faith that my college will help me get through this process smoothly.
Yes. The course and the college is worth the money.
No ragging area. It is located in Anandapur. 10 mins from Ruby hospital. And it is safe and obviously can handle all emergencies.
This college is one of the most reputed and well known college of this city. And not only city but in our country too.

Choosing between Biotechnology and Civil Engineering depends on your interests and career goals. Biotechnology can offer exciting opportunities in research, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals, especially if you're passionate about biological sciences and innovation in life sciences. Civil Engineering, on the other hand, provides a more traditional engineering path with opportunities in infrastructure development and construction.
If you're interested in biotechnology and the field excites you, it could be a worthwhile choice. However, if you feel more inclined towards traditional engineering and the opportunities it presents, you might have considered civil engineering more suitable. Both fields have their merits, so it's essential to align your choice with your career aspirations and interests.
Hope it helps..
