The Hilli Government Polytechnic, Balurghat, established in the year 2016, is a co-educational technical institute situated in Hilli, Dakshin Dinajpur, West Bengal. It is affiliated and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education. This institute runs diploma programs in engineering disciplines. The institute is spread across a 5-acre campus and has an overall student enrolment of 284 with 16 faculty members.

The institute is equipped with numerous facilities that work toward the holistic development of the students. The 300 square meters library is provisioned with thousands of books and multimedia resources, supported by souped-up momentum computers and printers for the reprographic services. It encompasses spacious reading areas to accommodate students as well as faculty members. The college campus has civil amenities for sports activities to ensure physical fitness and inspiration of the team spirit in students. Hilli Government Polytechnic ensures excellent IT infrastructure, appropriate for the technological advancement, which is going on the current pace, so that students will be exposed to modern computing resources. Experience, therefore, is delivered by hands-on exposure to be in alignment with the system of technical education. Refreshment and socializing are also facilitated for staff and students with the help of canteen services. Besides, faculty, staff, and students have adequate parking spaces, which provide them with an easy time on campus.

Hilli Government Polytechnic focuses toward the specifics with respect to the engineering diploma programs it has. The college offers three courses full-time right now, all at the diploma level. The curriculum of the course will make the students able with practical and theoretical knowledge in the area of engineering chosen. Overall, the course intake of all put together is 162 students, but for each individual course, it is 54, hence very small enrolment accommodating students in a manner that they can be provided with personalized attention toward receiving quality education.
