Classrooms are okayish. No wifi connection is present on campus.There is no playground. Classrooms have projectors and white screens but are devoid of smart boards. Hostels are decent(decent food, living spaces are clean). There aren't many modern instruments in the laboratory.

I am studying BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The quality of teaching is average- few teachers are excellent, some have very poor teaching skills and most of them teaching skills somewhat between average and good. But most teachers have deep knowledge in their respective fields. Curriculum has recently been updated but overall there is a huge scope for improvement.Also the study does not necessarily make us job ready but it can be worked out.

Till now the placements for Electronics & Communication Engineering have been almost nill. This college had no placement officer till 2019 (reason for poor placements). However after the placement officer joined, many students got placed in companies like Cognizant, TCS (Digital), IBM. It seems that the situation of placements will improve a lot from this year.

The course costs around 7.5k rupees per year which is one of the lowest in India. So fees is not a problem at all. But we are not getting the best facilities (speaking irrespective of fees). Though the facilities that we are getting are good if fees is taken into consideration.

The campus is very small but it has a vibrant environment.The best part is that there are many departments alongside Institute of Radio Physics & Electronics(they all are part of University of Calcutta) and thus people from various backgrounds interact with each other. But for extracurricular activities there is only a gym and a table tennis court and thus not much to be offered.Students have a healthy interaction among each other and with teachers.Most teachers and support staff are supportive

Overall the institute is somewhat average but we have some really good students and teachers. This institute has had a very glorious past especially in research work and still has a good brand value.If students, faculty and administration work diligently then this institute can definitely reach great heights.

Our classrooms and laboratories are clean, well designed and well equipped. The campus is not much big so we do not have space for outdoor sports but college has a gym and room with table tennis. We do not get wifi on campus but we have free wifi in hostels.

I'm studying Electronics and Communication Engineering here and I feel blessed to come across professors like ours. They always encourage us to learn the subject not only by studying the theory but also but doing projects. They are always available if you need any kind of help with your studies. Our curriculum is AICTE approved and updated considering the present demands.

The record of placements of our college has not been good lately, but now the scenario is thought to be changed as our new placement officer has been recruited. He has assured us that the placement record will get better.

This is a Govt. college and the fees are very low. My course cost Rs.8,244 per year. This is quite cheap compared to some of the other engineering colleges. And of course, I totally feel I'm getting my money's worth.

The students here are very friendly. Teachers and staffs are very helpful. They always take time out of their busy schedule if you need any kind help from them. But our campus is not much big. We don't have space for outdoor sports, we don't have any clubs or groups for extracurricular activities. The outside area of our college is not much hygienic but the communication system is good.

It is one of the oldest Department of University of Calcutta. So, it is lack of modern infrastructure. But the Classrooms are quite big and Air Conditioned. All the Classrooms are like Auditorium. The Department has its own Centre of Advanced Study, where all the laboratories are there. There's a big Library with Sit & Study Zone. Also there is CU's own Hostel for boys within 1km of the Department. Most of the places are Clean, Clear and Hygienic.

RPE Department is well known for its Research work in the field of Radio Physics. So Students generally come here to pursue their Masters & PhD. The Student Teacher relationship is also very nice. Professors are very very helpful. The curriculum is updated according to the AICTE rules but there's a lack in the Study to make one job-ready. So, one must take admission if he/she wants to pursue higher studies.

Since RPE Department mainly focuses on Studies and research oriented work, so there's no strong Placement cell. Hence the Percentage of Placement is very low. But as the Professors teach in extraordinary level, so most of the Students get jobs in Off Campus Placement. Or most of the Students go for higher study. Average package is 3-5lakhs.

RPE Department is under University bof Calcutta. And it is a Government University. So, Fees structure is very low, Rs. 3622/ Semester. Also its quality of Study is better than any other College or University or Institute. Hence its money worthy.

Campus is also amazing. RPE is in Rajabazar Science college. So one can meet students from different Departments. Also there's a Common room, Common Canteen, Table Tennis room, Gym room - places to make friends and have fun !

I'll suggest one to take Admission in RPE Department only if he/she wants to pursue higher Study. If aiming to get job then please find better Colleges.

It is a very old and renowned institute. It is known for its research activities. Some of the labs are a little old. But all the classroom are with ac facilities and there is our own hostel beside the campus which is very good. WiFi in the canteen is always available. Most of the living places are clean and food hygienic.

Academics is very good here. The teachers are well knowledgeable and all have done their PhD or post doc in their field of interest. If you have interest in higher studies then you can enjoy the college environment and all the teachers encourage you to persue higher studies in future.

4 year btech program started from 2015 in our college. So the placement cell is not that strong here. But recently new placement officer has arrived and some IT companies still recruit through on campus or off campus. But overall the placement is poor. If you have the talent then you can go for off campus placements. Some of the students got 3-4 lakh per annum in some IT companies last year while most of them persued higher studies through gate or gre exam.

The semester fee is very less. It is around 3600 rupees. Total fees of 4 year btech program is 30k-35k which is very less. As most of us have the will for higher studies and research activities, we are enjoying the academics and the teaching.

The campus life is good and full of fun. It is in Rajabazar area, nearby that there is metro station and auto and bus is regular here. The students here are a lot active except some of them. Students take part in tech fests, coding competitions, they do training and internships. A lot of professors here are well renowned and anyone can talk with them about some projects or internships.

If you want to persue higher studies in ece, then sure you should go for this college. As the fees is very less and you will get quality education here. So you will be automatically prepared for gate, gre, isro, barc, drdo and other psu exams.
