College infrastructure is good and for being the best the work is on progress. Classroom, laboratories, libraries are pretty good and well maintained. Living space was clean and well maintained. For lift facilities work is on progress.
Teachers are very helpful and friendly. Any doubts or problems there were always there to help me. I learned a lot from them which enriched my knowledge. They used to do one on one talk with every students to help them out from any problem. Actually they are truly our friend, philosopher and guide. All love and respect to them .
I got placed within first few months of our final year. Many mass recruiters MNCs held the placement drive this year. TPOs were very helpful and had a constant coordination with us. Average salary offered was 3.3 lpa approx. Placement process was really pleasant for me. College was very supportive. Highest package was 12lpa for the computer science stream.
I love my college, it gives me a lifetime cherishing memories. It makes me a better person. It gives me a quality education, a good job.
The college has one of the best laboratories and library. Although there are no space for sports but the teaching facilities are great here. The laboratories are well equipped. That gives the students a good learning experience. The overall environment of the college is also good.
Currently I have completed my BTECH in Electrical Engineering from Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology. From my 4 years of experience I will definitely say that the teachers are highly qualified and they always follow the curriculum at their best. There are many self development programs too which helps the students to face the job related interviews very well. There should be more career development programs n classes for the betterment of teh students and to make them job ready.
The quality of placement is good. There are nothing like on campus or just for our college. The placements basically held as a pool campus including all the colleges of TECHNO group. We have a supportive training and placement officers who guided us very well during our placements. But no core company come for placements. Mainly the MNC s come for placements. But the number of students got placed is overall good.
The college premises is well maintained and kept clean. The labs are fully updated with required instruments and computer systems. College does not have a centralised wifi facility and the books in the library is insufficient to cater to every student's needs though many scientific journals and e-books can be accessed through digital library. The college does not have a playground nor an auditorium.
The teachers of electrical engineering department are extremely helpful. They are well adept in the courses they teach. They are always there to help you out during your bad times. You can excel academically, if you attend every classes without fail.
Mostly IT companies and mass recruiters visit during campussing for Electrical Engineering students. Hardly one or two core engineering companies visit the college during campussing. Since this college is a subsidiary of Techno India Group of colleges, hence during pool campussing, many renowned companies recruit students from CSE and IT branch which provide good salary package. Getting placed in a company depends upon your skill and calibre.
Except academics, this college is good for nothing. The college follows MAKAUT curriculum which is one of the worst technical education boards in India. MAKAUT usually focusses on commercialising education in the state rather than focussing on the core values of shaping an individual into an engineer.
The college hosts many technical and cultural events throughout the academic calendar. The technical events are mostly taken care by Megatronix (The official tech club of the college). Megatronix hosts an inter-college tech fest every year named Paridhi. Apart form Megatronix, we have the Rotaract club which is associated with Rotary International. You can imbibe many inter-personal skills being a member of these clubs. It is a fun experience being a part of these clubs.
If you are serious about your future, attend classes regularly and be an active member of a club. Participating in club activities gives you a wholesome experience which the recruiters usually aspire for in a candidate.
There is no wifi for students, the campus is very small , these were the cons that all of us realised in our time, the cantine is hygienic although not that many food options but still a good place to spend some time
Teaching methods are really good and any queries are cleared with great care, not only teachers, even the seniors help their junior. We used to report the status of our ongoing classes to our director twice a sem and according to that any problem would be solved
You can expect less on campus placements but opportunities will be given from where one can get a decent job. Now what I’ve seen, those who really want to get a job, in 70% cases gets a decent job but as there are hardly any on campus drives, the path to get a job will be a bit tough.
For classes, it is definitely value for money but there should be some improvements as I’ve written in the previous reviews. There are certain clubs in the college which will boost the soft skills of any student
Campus life was good, seniors are very caring and teachers are also very friendly. My suggestion would be to join a club, let it be technical or social or any club of the college, by this way a student gets a whole lot friends to learn from and also teach them
Overall I would say that even if it doesn’t have a tier one stage in place of college ratings, the overall experience as a tier 2 college was good, while joining I will recommend CSE ,IT or ECE as they get the most number of companies in placement
Honestly, Lack of proper infrastructure is the only downside I found in this college. Neither it has a playground nor a scenic beauty to talk about. It has got a huge computer lab(consist of 8 mini labs). It has got a canteen which provide everyday meal to the students and faculty. WiFi connection all around the college. Library comes with good, handy and needy books for all streams. It also has books in regards with higher studies and competitive examinations like CAT, Gate etc.
It is one of the well reputed college under Techno India Group(TIG), Kolkata. It focuses more on quality of good faculty and discipline. Electrical has been the best stream in terms of faculty in our times. Total number of faculty in this college is around 122.
MSIT comes with 15-20% placement rate. Companies like TCS, CTS, Infosys, L&T, CGI, ITC, etc conduct their placement in process in this college. MSIT always groomed their students taking extra classes to make them industry ready.
Per year fees is around Rs 1 lakh. Now getting taught by such an amazing faculty under strict discipline in this amount is really the thing that has to be appreciate.
Special seminars conducted by our pass-out senior who are placed in reputed companies to share their experienceaand give us the guidance to proceed, techfests(Paridhi), cultural fest, Rotaract club activities, NGOs,blood donation camps are the major thumbs up for this college.
