Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), Hooghly, is an institution that originated. Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech Programs: B.Tech programs in MIET are offered in branches including Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, and Cyber Security. The admission for all B.Tech programs is as follows:

• Eligibility: Candidates must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Entrance Exam: JEE Main or WBJEE
• Selection: Based on the rank obtained in the entrance examination.
• Lateral Entry: Opened to Diploma Holders and B.Sc. Degree Holders through JELET, with 20% additional intake of sanctioned seats in the 2nd year.

• Management quota: 25% of the approved intake is available through management quota

Management Quota: Candidates must have at least 35% marks in aggregate (excluding additional subjects) in English, Physical Science, and Mathematics, and at least 45% in Physics & Mathematics combined, or a valid JEXPO rank.
