NS Polytechnic College was established in 2012 at Burdwan and is one of the well-known technical institutions in Chandipur, Abhirampur, Ausgram, Purba Burdhaman, West Bengal. The institution is a co-educational affiliated college approved by AICTE. There are 70 faculty members dedicated to providing four diploma programmes in engineering disciplines. The working credo of NS Polytechnic College is to impart quality technical education with other facets of development among its learners.

The campus of NS Polytechnic College has a battery of modern facilities that further embellish the learning graph of the students. There are separate boys' and girls' hostels with a home-like atmosphere, back-up power supply, and regular monitoring by the concerned authority. Medical aid is also provided to the students along with an emergency transport system. A well-stocked library would act as the knowledge hub of the institution.

There is a gigantic stock of 13,761 books by renowned authors, and fresh subscriptions to journals, periodicals, magazines, and newspapers. Students would be permitted to borrow up to four books at a time to inculcate a culture of reading and research. Each department maintains state-of-the-art laboratories to provide students with hands-on practical experience. The campus includes a gym and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities to promote physical fitness and recreation. Additionally, it provides amenities such as a cafeteria, Wi-Fi connectivity, parking space, and air-conditioned auditorium halls for hosting events and seminars.

NS Polytechnic College provides four full-time diploma courses in engineering, each of three years' duration. They include Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and Diploma in Survey Engineering.

Admission to NS Polytechnic College is mainly done on the basis of ranking in the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnics West Bengal (JEXPO).
