Yes PGDAV canteen is the biggest canteen across Delhi University and it's hygienic too and it have a big ground where students can sit in winters and chill and classes are spacious too and yes we have library that is well equipped with books and computer labs too .
I am pursuing BCom prog and the faculties are actually very experienced professionals in their field. Yes the curriculum is up to date and during pandemic too we are given online classes and tutorial classes are also conducted for subjects where our doubts are solved .
Pgdav College is know for its placement cell . Every year a internship drive is organised and students from various colleges apply and get placed . PGDAV recently launched its biggest virtual internship fair .
Yes because we have a good faculty of teachers and which is most important of all.
Personally my first year was great , out college organised annual fest where they invited zeaden we attended that it's was soo fun and we get soo much of exposure by joining societies . I m a part of 3 societies now in my second year and great . Students , teachers and staffs are very supportive . Our college is walking distance from vinobhapuri puri metro station and yes it can handle emergencies.
Overall it's great to be a student In Pgdav college , various events are conducted throughout the year by various departmental as well as by cultural socities and which is great source of exposure for students and various social drives are too conducted by NSS unit of our college such as cloth donation drive , blood donation drive etc.
Yes Our College is equipped with all the necessary facilities like canteen, wifi, GYM, and with many more facilities. And in canteen our college has biggest canteen among the other DU Colleges. and we get meals and snacks at cheap Rate.
In Academics our college is one of the best college of Delhi University Because here faculties are very helpful and their way of teaching is absolutely good. Personally I have never faced any problem till now related to academic.
Average placement is around 3-5 lakhs I got to know about this from seniors. College also provides internship to the intersted student's and before student go to take part in placement our professors guide us throughout the whole process.
For B. Com it's costs around 15000 P. A. and it's value for money and I am sure one cannot get this kind of education under this price in other private colleges.
Staff and teachers are very supportive and I can say that overall staff's are very helpful.
Our college provide wonderful facilities for students Hygienic canteen ,clean bathrooms, a very beautiful playground , experienced teachers . Clean classroom calm environment helping seniors which creates a beautiful college life
Studying BA programme i will be appying for government jobs after this we have very amazing. Teachers at our college .our teachers are very helpfull . They clear all our doubts and help us achieve aur goals in academic
The placement cell of pgdav collge serves as an interface between the students and the corporative world .collge brings best corporative groups for students .students have different options to choose and can apply
Less fees and amazing teaching
I really love my campus students can engage in several societies college have a very active cultural society composed of several societies which makes collge life amazing . Pgdav college helps students to understand their hidden qualities with learning
colleges has nice well build infrastructure, college building divided into two parts of morning and evening college. It has nice classrooms, library with WIFI ,hygenic mess, ground, Computer labs and etc.
Faculty members are well qualified, they were quiet helpful to all the students whenever they face any problem in study or life. The course relevant, even lots of seminars were organised related to our field.
If we are talking about apportunities, you will get lot of opprtunities from PGDAV. Proper placement and internship facilities are provide to students. Proper placement cell are made. Many companies come and recruit final year students.
Good infrastructure. Nice classrooms. One of the cheapest canteens. A huge playground. Nice great outstanding. College also provides wifi connection to its students. I am fully satisfied with my college.
If I talk about academics again pgdav is awesome. I don't know about other departments but mathematics department is very nice. Good teachers . Good environment. Friendly nature of teachers. Quality of teaching is fabulous.
I don't know much about placement cell of my college. I have not joined it. But as per our college's previous years data the placements are average. Not so bad not so good. .............................
Approximately 15000 per year for mathematics honours students..................................... ............ Really getting worth for my money.............................High quality education in low fee
Great..................... NCC, Basketball, Kabaddi, Cricket many other activities..... Supportive staff and students...... 2 minutes distance from bus stop and 10 minutes from metro station...........
Relatively small building but enough to provide all the facilities to students. The college has 2 seminar halls as well as a conference room. The campus has enough greenery to hangout. The canteen offers fabulous food!
Faculty works very hard to provide knowledge to the students. Unlike other colleges, teachers are easily accessible and are always ready to help the students. They are very supportive and encouraging.
The placement cell is working very hard to bring new companies to the college for Internships and Placements. Highest placement was 12L P.A. Apart from this, college organise annual Internship fair along with regular Internship offers throughout the year!
With Fee around 10k per year, the college provides you all the opportunities to the students to develop their skills as well gain knowledge. The college provides good exposure to the students. Faculty is very cooperative.
The Infrastructure of my college is quite average, basically it is what you can expect from a South Delhi DU college. Campus Has Wifi although the students don't have the password to access it. Also, our college has the biggest canteen!it may sound fascinating but it isn't because most of the time you wouldn't find even a single vacant chair in the whole canteen which is considered as the biggest canteen of DU.
I am Currently Pursuing Bachelor Of Commerce (B.com) and present in my first year.I am studying this course to gain more knowledge about the commerce field and what it is actually about. The Quality of teaching is average as well because of the mixture of teachers we have.some are stupendous while some are there just to chill and gossip.
I am also working as a member of the placement cell of our college. The placement and recruitment in this college is average as well.there are some well known companies and there are some companies about which you have never heard about but in the upcoming time it will surely get better. Thanks to the placement cell for working so hard.
After considering each and every concept I can say that the value for money in this college is good overall because of the ROI mainly and the highly quality teachers.other factors are yet to be improved and by the time I graduate I am sure it will be much much better.
The Campus Life is pretty good,it may not be a big college as many people would expect but still the campus life is great.you may find some weird and rude people but you just need to avoid them and focus on the affable and amiable people and there are many friendly people out here.
It would be really great if there would be some additions to this college maybe like An Entrepreneurship Cell which will promote the entrepreneur within each and everyone of us. Other than that more sitting space in canteen and smart classes would be preferred.
Yes, my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. It has a feel of a very old college as it is really established more than 6 decades ago and has all the feels of it. the classroom is fine and does not posses air conditioning but still good campus with clean hygienic places and food is also fine.
as it is one of the esteemed colleges of the city the education is fine the classes are not very regular and hence the teachers should now adopt to better learning facilities and not keep stuck with the same old system. the education provided is good and is of the accepted university level.
I would not like to brag here and say anything which is not true. so for the bcom students there are not much of companies which visits the campus and not every one is placed from the campus only a few gets and thus the placements is not something you should consider in this college as a must. an average of 3 lacs per annum is what we can notice .
we paid a fees of just 6000 rupees per semester and we had 2 semesters each year totaling for around 36000 for the complete tuition fees of three years and also we had to pay separately for accommodations which was on our own not by the college.
we have one of the biggest food court of the whole university and hence we have a pretty nice campus life there are events and programs lined up through out the year and hence makes the journey of college very interesting. sports facilities are also good.
over all my whole college experience was good and we had a lot of fun during it. there is a lot of things which I got to learn and Delhi is an awesome place to live and the food around the corners are so tasty that it makes the whole college life a lifetime experience
The college is equipped with all the necessary infrastructure - medical room, Canteet, playground, Volleyball Court. The college has the largest canteen of Delhi University. The food quality and hygiene is checked on regular basis.
Though not popular enough but the academics of this college is one of the best. Utmost importance is given on curriculum. Various societies are there to imbibe leadership qualities. The Faculty is top most and the teaching method is up to date.
The placement cell is one of the largest and one of the most active. Internship Fair is also organised for all the students. The college is completely dedicated towards getting students placed. The average salary offered is around 3 lakhs.
Yes this college is definitely worth the money.
Though being an off campus college located in South Delhi there are many places nearby like Amar colony, South Extension, Moolchand. The area is completely safe.
Having studied in this college I can assure that it is an amazing experience.
The infrastructure of the college is not up to the mark. We have to face many problems bcoz of this. The college lacks network connectivity which interrupts our daily lectures. The classrooms are not well furnished.
Though the college gets poor ratings for the infrastructure, on the other hand, academics session is amazing. Teacher gives her lectures in a way which keeps the students involved and fascinates them to score a full attendance without whining.
I was not much interested in the placement cell of the college because i want to go for higher studies but as far as i know, students get access to good companies and we get notified about the various companies approaching our college every now and then.
The college is a government based and hence too economical. It is giving the opportunity to the students of every class to get into any course of their choice which is even motivating them for higher studies
Campus life is better than boring and a tad less than amazing . But one can still cope up with this because of the other things that college has to offer to its students. There are festivals and events held incollege every now and then which gives exposure to students.
....
Dear Yaswanth,
Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College is a constituent college of University of Delhi ( PGDAV College). It has various facilities like d igital library, e xcellent cultural societies, go od infrastructure, top notch placement record etc.
B.A hons. Political Science will majorly focus on Political Science subject whereas only studying B.A political Science, you will study all the subjects in equal proportions. The college also works to enhances your skills. I would say Choose your area of interest. Scope wise both (hons. And non hons.) are quite competitive.
Talking about UPSC, it covers all the aspects of every subject you are opting for. Considering this, B.A Political Science would be a better course to choose for as it will cover all your subjects equally rather than just focussing on Political Science.
Rest is your decision. Please choose wisely.
Hope this sorted your query.
All the Best!!
Hi Virat
PGDAV is a good college but placements here are not good. It's accreditation is NAAC B. The faculty here is well qualified. The ranking of college depends upon various factors. However as per previous nirf rankings, this college was not under the list.
But no doubt it is one of the oldest constituent colleges of the top ranking University of Delhi.
