Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is a three-year full-time course offered by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education, Kolkata, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
Eligibility Criteria
Admission criteria for JEXPO Candidates
Must have passed the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with English, Mathematics, and Physical Science / Science / Science & Technology among others as subjects securing at least 35% marks (no rounding up) in aggregate as per AICTE norms excluding the effects of the subject taken as additional/optional. Candidates appearing in the Secondary (Madhyamik) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination in 2021 with English, Mathematics, and Physical Science/Science among others subjects may also apply.
Admission criteria for DIRECT Admissions
Must have passed/appeared in the (10+2) Examination of the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development (Vocational Education Division) [erstwhile, West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education & Training]. OR
Passed 2 years’ ITI at a stretch after Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed. It appears ITI candidates are not eligible for VOCLET-2021. ITI trades must be of continuous 2 years duration and the single certificate should mention the time of the ITI course.
