Hii,
Yes, you can get a free seat in Andhra University for a degree course, but it depends on certain conditions. If you come from a family with a low income or belong to a reserved category like SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, or Kapu, the Andhra Pradesh government provides a scheme called “Jagananna Vidya Deevena.” Under this scheme, the government pays your entire college tuition fee directly to the college on your behalf. This means you don’t have to pay anything for your education.
Apart from that, Andhra University also offers some scholarships for students who have good marks or rank high in entrance exams (if required for your course). If you perform well in academics or entrance tests, the university may give you a full or partial fee waiver.
To get these benefits, you must apply through official channels like the Jnanabhumi portal (for government schemes), and you’ll need documents like your income certificate, caste certificate, marksheets, etc. The university may also have its own application process for scholarships, which you can find on their official website or by visiting the admission office.
So in short, if you meet the income or category criteria or if you’re a top performer, you have a very good chance of getting a free or highly subsidized seat in Andhra University.

Hi aspirant,
The rank necessary in the AP ICET to get an MBA seat at Andhra University varies from year to year, based on a number of criteria such as the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the category you fall into. Typically, to get into Andhra University's MBA program through AP ICET, aim for a rank between 5000 and 10,000 for a chance at a free seat, however this can vary depending on category.
All the best!
Hello,
for diploma holders seeking admission to Andhra University, the rank considered depends the entry scheme. if you are applying through the lateral entry scheme, the ECET rank will be considered. AUEET is for admission into the 6 year integrted B.Tech program, not for lateral entry.
